Fabulous work . Subtle and yet so powerful. As a dancer/ choreographer myself, this is poetic validation on why I love what I l do - the power of the arts can never be negated. And as long as you bring work like this for mainstream audiences, the arts will flourish with a gentleness that the world so desperately needs. Lots of power to you, Team Bodhi Silent Scape and Congratulations!

Love, compassion, fluid energy is all female. Celebrating woman, her creativity, her compassion, her desires, her body is very necessary to understand how much stronger and wholeheartedly happy, humanity will be when we accept her! she is her own! She is love and life and excitement! she is she for without her, a body is just a body with no soul!
@noneofyourbee-siness6 жыл бұрын
It has been perceived since ages that to be a strong woman you need to shred off your feminine qualities. This video gracefully contradicts such misleading myths. It beautifully portrays how a woman is beautiful in all forms. This video calms my mind and rejuvenates my soul😍
@Sunanda_K7 жыл бұрын
Dear Shruthi and Sudeep, Fabulous work! The lyrics are beautiful, the vocals are note perfect and the dancers bring to life every word in letter and spirit. Yet, and not with the intention to undermine the effort of the artistes, the question remains, what does this intend to showcase? It tells a little girl that she is precious, that she is like the very air that is inseparable from life and yet the reality is one day she will be separated and asked to go "home". The sad truth of our society being that our baales have no home. The paternal home is a hostel where she is allowed to stay until her education is over. The house of her in-laws or the house that she builds with her husband is still not hers, she is simply the housekeeper. If she makes a house for herself without anyone's help except her own, she is termed unspeakable things. Added to all this, she must be like the wind that bends around rocks, the water that wears down mountains, the fire that burns down but nourishes and warms, and the earth that bears every weight that is piled upon her. But then have we stopped to think why a woman must be like this? It is because no one stopped to think why the rock is so hard, why the mountains so unmovable, why the wood so unbending, why the earth so hard to yield. No, because if we stop to think it will shatter the very premise of society. It is because in some blind quest to celebrate women we have completely forgotten about the men. An anthem for womanhood will succeed only when children are brought up to not look at each other's gender but look at each other as people. Society is still a failure if the women are strong but the men are weak. Contrary to what modern (or rather post modern) feminist movements will have us believe, patriarchy represses boys as much at it represses girls. It makes for the same de-oxygenated environment in which both genders grow up. Patriarchy forces boys to give up their childhoods and live up to exaggerated masculine expectations that no child can actually live up to. If a boy hits a girl, when a man beats his wife, it is because when his flesh was tender it was rent asunder by a stick or a cane or a whip attached to the end of a "masculine" hand or even the knife edge of tongues wagged by society which called him less of a "man" for not being macho or not achieving masculine ideals a tender young mind cannot understand. Do you really think a man WANTS to stick a knife into someone's guts or shoot someone dead with a machine gun just so that he can be termed a MAN? As a society we have failed entirely to protect our children, to provide nurturing ground to their unlimited potential. We force them into roles they don't understand and castigate them for being their natural selves and then write anthems for womanhood and slogans of manhood. If you want to bring change to society, please do some work with children. Write an anthem for children and childhood. A child jumping happily into a puddle of water is more heart warming than contrived pieces like this. Tell the men's side of the story. Men don't drown in alcohol or live in a haze of marijuana because they don't care about their livers. It is because they have no escape from relentless societal ideals of manhood. Celebrate manhood in all its vulnerability - in its tears and laughter, in its silences, in its non-machoness. If you want to be an artist who is also an agent of change, my humble request is to leave contrivances aside and bring out the power of your music through an honest appraisal of society. Best wishes.
