Gotta admit, I'm a sucker for envenom with any amount of shivs. Just want to live the dream of Envenom, sneko skull, sadistic nature and a shiv-tastic deck with kunai. There's a reason I'm not at A20 yet.

I've lived it. Had a run with After Image from a transform start, like 4 blade dances from act 1 alone, Envenom and Sadistic Nature, _and_ Snecko Skull. All on ascension 19. It was glorious.

Yeah a20 gets a lot easier when you commit to playing super boring. Honestly a habit I need to break I can only play so many feel no pain/act 1 acrobatics/focus coolheaded/rushdown decks before I lose my mind

You could code the enemy to take their turn (with no attacks), strength down resolves itself normally, and then enemy debuffs after the turn. Outside of wondering why your weird interaction isn't happening, the player would never know (as long as the debuffing boss was the last enemy to act which it coincidentally already is)

Also runic dome is always best if you are an engine. It's an unpleasant choice cause it requires calculation and reference.

Late to the party but I would have skipped that dead branch 10 times out of 10. Corruption clad is one thing, or like watcher with a handful of exhaust cards but when every shiv becomes a new random card your entire deck gets filled with junk for the redraw. I hate the inconsistency in longer fights.

Poison builds are great starting at some point within act 2, because there are no poison cards in the deck natively. Honestly I'd love for spire to have alternative starting decks for each of the characters' specialties. Nob kinda would suck for Defect and Silent tho. I remember my first good deck ever was on like A1 or A2 Silent, where I defeated I believe the awakened one so that they had 312 poison on one of the halves, hopefully the latter. This is from a time before watcher was even added, so it's rather long ago.

Am I the only person who DESPISES it when a streamer picks up Dead Branch in a Shiv run? Like, I get it, technically it’s a good play, I just hate that style of gameplay compared to the focused stabbing you had been doing
