My younger brother who was a pastor in his church was a victim of the anointed handkerchief, he kpaied clushing the handkerchief on his chest in the hospital, that devastated me so much. Government have to regulate some of these kind of preaching.

RIP, and I can understand where you are coming from. May God comfort your family. We all have to know God for ourselves and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. The handkerchief worked for some people. In a church of 10,000 members sometimes, some people come out for amazing testimonies that seem impossible. God does miraculous things, He is even still raising the dead. People won't understand until it is their experience. Until you experience a testimony yourself. The reason I said know God for yourself is because God can tell you to go straight to the hospital even though you have faith.

Understandably, what happened to Madam's family can be utterly painful! But then God has been there for her. According to her, her children are doing well! The Holy Bible admonishes us that although we may be angry but we should not sin! Baba, Pastor, Adeboye did not make himself head of RCCG but he became head by the divine revelation given to the founder of the Church, Pa. Akindayomi. Because of this, Pastor Adeboye is an anointed man of God! As the word of God is settled in heaven forever, we should be mindful of the word of God which warns us not to touch His anointed and not to do His prophets any harm! We know that God honours His word!

Our God is a sovereign God! He heals those He wants to heal. Didn't Paul the Apostle pray to God to heal him of his ailment which he described as a thorn in his flesh! Just use your critical thinking, sorry you can not have critical thinking and be religious at the same time. For your information, critical thinking is the ability to question everything objectively before making a decision. It does not have anything to do with your formal education. Besides, if you read your Bible you will understand that God promises that everybody who asks will receive, not that somebody will receive and some will not. Know your Bible or they will continue to take advantage of you.

Because he could easily heal babies who are suffering from cancer and end the suffering of all, but he "decides" who he wants to "bless" with "miracles" while people beg and cry and suffer. While people are endlessly "knocking" and "seeking" (Matthew 7:7-8), he is just there "deciding"...FOH.

You are very correct but God uses man to perform miracles in His name. See 2 Kings 1:10. I have never heard Baba Adeboye perform any miracle in any other name than the name of Jesus.

With an extraordinary claim, clearly comes with an extraordinary evidence. The evidence needs to be presented by the claimant. She doesn’t need to present and go about looking for the evidence. She wasn’t there nor was present when the event was claimed to have happened. The claimant needs to be providing the proof the event occurred or happened. It’s very convenient that all these extraordinary circumstances never hit the newspaper headlines nor be verifiable by science unless your religious fathers said it happened. What’s wrong with logic?

For example, a murder case was brought to the court for execution and what do you think the presiding judge or the juries who would be responsible for seeing to the case ask for? The judge or jurors would be asking for verifiable evidences and not just some crazy hearsay. A supernatural claim was made. A claim that has never happened in the history of mankind and a claim that has never been proven to have happened in the thousands or billions of years of human existence. Someone now claimed this supernatural event happened. Using historical scrutiny, the first thing you would ask of the claimant is the evidence. For example, my neighbour at some point claimed he has a Unicorn 🦄 in his back garden knowing full well that Unicorn 🦄 doesn’t exist. The first thing you would ask for is the evidence for the existence of Unicorn 🦄 and not just believe based on hearsay or on faith. The preponderance of evidence is on the claimant and not the person asking for proof or evidence. You need to adopt simple logic based on facts and evidence and not on your own emotion or presumption or presupposition.

Firstly, how does the court system work? Is it based on what you can prove or just what you know that happened when it comes to any sort of criminal court proceeding? The preponderance of provision of evidence is based on the claimant and not on the person asking for the evidence. For example, if my neighbour says he has a Unicorn 🦄 in his backyard, the first question to ask is can I come and have a look at the evidence for the Unicorn 🦄. We all know that Unicorns 🦄 doesn’t exist and has never been proven to have existed. Also, someone make a supernatural claim about an event that has never happened in the history of mankind spanning more than a billion years and you think you shouldn’t ask for proof that it happened? Knowing full well that this kind of event has never happened before. Miracles don’t exist. When the claims of miracles are made, the person making the claim is trying to defy nature and break the laws of physics, mathematics and entropy.

I believe in God, i believe in reading d Bible and using verses to pray for myself. I learnt a long time ago dat Pastors are mere men n dey can do and undo. If u on ur own fast n pray u will get divine directions from d Holy Spirt. When i wasnted to japa my RCCG pastor told me dont go, i was an Assistant Manager in Zenith Bank, after my dad died, i decided to fast and pray 4 7 days on my own, no church no pastor, d Spirit said move. I moved myself kia kia. D only regret i have is not having my kids on time. I understand where aunt Aduni is coming from (dis one she is now an atheist , me i no understand dat one sha) but d warnings she is giving on d misleadings of nost of dese pastors is very important. Most especially religion both Christianity and Islam and tribalism + evil politicians are d greatest factors hindering Nigeria.

My dear nothing wrong being an atheist. It's simply the rejection of the claim that there is a God... It's just like you not believing that the gods in your villages are real. As an atheist I believe all God's are Man made... I currently work with zenith bank and I'm so happy I was bold enough to tell my branch head and every of my colleagues that I'm an atheist.... As for healing .We get testimonies about healing every day even in other religions and Gods although u may seem not to believe in theirs because it doesn't chime with your own believe system.... Our ancestors gave testimonies about divine manifestations of their own gods too before the missionaries came and demonized it in their hands and very eyes just to get the worship of Jesus monopolized. So the claims of healing is a proof for a God is an ancient human construct and personal experience. It's not testable and verifiable. I don't believe in the existence of any loving and all powerful God that randomly selects human to heal of their sickness and diseases by chances in time and geography... I statistically know the number of children that scream and die of bone cancer every day.... appendices was once a terminal illness globally before medical breakthrough. The global population suffered from Apollo diseases which crippled thousands of people in Nigeria before science brought a solution. Madam I simply don't believe there's is an invisible man in the sky monitoring our affairs when all these was happening and still happening.... unless it's entirely different from the Abrahamic God ( the God of the Jews,Muslims and Christians) or thousands of the other gods worshiped by mankind which i believe are man made construct...

It is sad when a believer passes on, especially when they are young, genuine worshippers of Christ who believe they will receive healing for their ailment. However, the death of a believer is not evidence for the ineffectiveness of prayer or the healing anointing. Pastor Adeboye is not performing miracles, at least not in that sense. The Spirit of the Lord is the one who performs the miracles through us as we yield ourselves to Him in righteous communion and prayer. May the Lord give you wisdom to report accurately about the matters of the Holy Spirit.

I know of someone, child of a popular business mogul, she had breast cancer Adeboye adviced that she should keep doing treatment and while doing same Pastor was praying. Many years after she is cancer free has a foundation on this and attributes this to God, pastor and medicine.

Miracles are real. It can be likened to conception that a woman has that brought about baby. No one knows how this happen. However, I agreed with madam Adunni that all this miracles should be a verifiable miracles (both before and after) and not by narration by the pastors.

The evidence needs to be presented by the claimant. Can you provide the general public the empirical evidence that your own version of a healing did happen? If truly it did happen, then you are tampering with the law of nature. The laws of nature or physics cannot be broken. Once the laws of physics or nature is broken once, then the event should be happening every single day and not just suddenly stopped happening. In this video, she doesn’t need to present nor go about looking for the evidence. She wasn’t there nor was present when the event was claimed to have happened. The claimant who said the event happened needs to be providing the proof the event occurred or happened. It’s very convenient that all these extraordinary circumstances never hit the newspaper headlines nor be verifiable by science unless your religious fathers said it happened. What’s wrong with logic?

If thou shall say unto this mountain...and shall not doubt in your heart.." Is that not faith? Someone was sick. He prayed for healing. He believed he was healed. Despite all pressures to make him waiver and seek medical attention he refused and said he didn't need to because he believed he was healed. He continued to confess he was healed until he died. And you still said he died bcos he didn't have faith! So what is faith? Did you hear the comment of the son of Dora Akunyili? How he said after his mother was prayed for by Adeboye, she kept confessing she was healed until she died of cancer! Paul prayed against his torn in the flesh, but he was told by God to "manage and live with it". Are you saying Paul did not have faith? Timothy had a stomach infirmity and Paul told him to manage it by not taking only water but to be taking wine periodically. Couldn't Paul declare healing against the infirmity for him? Why didn't he ask him to take anointed oil? Is it that Timothy too didn't have faith? The issue is, it is always convenient to blame weak faith or lack of faith when others are involved. Isaac Oyedepo didn't use faith when he had health challenge. He made lifestyle changes to get out of it. Why didn't he just use prayer and faith? Let us face reality about issues. Note that me that is commenting is a son of a mother that went completely blind and whose sight was restored through prayer in very early 70 and whose brother was healed in a crusade of a sickness that had defied all orthodox and traditional medicine in early 80s. So I believe in divine healing and miracles. But I am also relating with reality and striking a balance and not pretending that all failures to heal is bcos of lack of faith.
