Listening to this at maghrib time. My eyes and heart are crying at the same time thinking of what we have lost and how we still are not able to unite and collect what's left of the past. The Harmandir Sahib has been turned into a showpiece that no longer imparts true knowledge and art. The knowledge and sensitivity went away when the Gali Rabbabiyan in Amritsar was emptied during partition. Similar things happened in Pakistan. Allah is still "Avval" despite being challenged by human thought that is the cause of all suffering. Bless Bhai Chand and his lineage of masters who never gave up on their responsibility of keeping the tradition alive. Those pop singers or raagis who sing ghazal music at Gurudwaras are not the forebearers of tradition as it requires sacrifice and commitment which only comes from true connection with yourself. This art has deep scientific roots which in no way endorses mysticism, enlightenment, or a higher power. It just operates on pure life form that can never be understood or analysed (at least until now). Waheguru Ji Da Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Di Fateh.

🙏 Thank you so much for posting this kirtan. This kirtan is beyond comparison. May Waheguru give some wisdom to the SGPC and the Ragi who sing in the Darbar Sahib to learn the old traditions of the Rababbi kirtan from this. Bhai Gulam Mohammad Chand ji is more than a true Sikh as he knows lot of Gurbani by heart .

Bhai sahib think ten times before you comment this kind of nonsense . Has our self styled Skih supreme SGPC ever helped these Rababis finically or some other way. Have they ever invited them for kirtan. Instead of being thankful to the Rababi community who has still maintained the old kirtan traditions. Bi jee please think about it.
