There was a Kirtani who had amazing spiritual qualities & when he used to sing kirtan, they say deepams used to light up & Maharaja Ranjit Singh herd this & asked him to come to his court to sing for him but he refused saying he sings for the world's king not a worldly king which made the Maharaja lose his ego & go to him! Gurfateh ji 🙏 P.s. Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji was NOT a practising Sikh. Otherwise, he wouldn't have committed Sati with some of his wives!!!

He didn't....it was chaal of dogras...onu those daasis were forcefully satti who were slowly giving poison to maharaja. To hide this fact, dogras made then go satti force or else other was to get killed in a bad way. U can also think of it as only those "wives" or daasis were satti who did not had any childern of maharaja. Only Other wives who gave birth to Maharaja's sons were not satis..why u should ask. This was conspiracy of dogras and angrej. U can also search about it. Dr sukhpreet also has videos related to this.

He was a sikh. you might listen to the lectures on maharaja ranjeet singh by Dr. Sukhpreet singh ji to know the truth none of his wives did go into sati, neither did Maharani jindaan, or any other. the ones who did go into sati were not his wives, bt were forced by the dogars so they would not tell abt the planned murder of the Maharaja. Please read the sources and do research before commenting some nonsense abt Sher-e-Punjab
