Brothers, I was listening to this while working and had to stop, pull over and comment. First of all, thank you for the fantastic insights surrounding our younger brother and sisters’ needs when it comes to education. We are in uncharted territory when it comes to the intersection or technology, development and education. Our children are our mirrors and mannnn, the way I had to practice discipline with the phone when my daughter was born. They notice and emulate everything. Whipped me into shape real quick! But, the end of this discussion pulled at my heartstrings. I have someone in my life who was very successful in basketball (AAU, shipped off to prep school, then played college and int’l) and has had such a hard time transitioning out. The pressure, the shame, the disappointment - the weight of all that on our young brothers is too much too bear. They need to hear stories of how people were able to overcome and find personal success outside of that identity imposed on them as young children. Thank you so much for this as I needed the reminder to give grace and love to those around me, because we need to uplift folks. That hard exterior is often a cry for some gentle love and acknowledgement. Peace to you both!

I really enjoyed this conversation and I think it's really great that he is drawing awareness to these problems with our system and providing solutions for positive change. Thank you for what you do and I wish my children could go to a school like yours.

Our children are in big trouble if we even believe the people/system who don't treat us right will teach us ight. As it stands, my daughter gets no homework, but my co-workers' kids in other communities get 2-3 hours of homework. I remind my daughter daily as I give her assignments, that her school is failing her and unless she disciplines herself to acquire skills and knowledge, she will work for those kids. For all the people with high end college degrees, we still do not have influence in our workplaces. We remain asleep at the wheel and must step up from the programming, distractions, and being mentally paralyzed.

If the school is failing her move her to another school that has a better academic standards such as the school your co worker kid goes to...instead of telling her the school is failing yet u keep her in the same school system...make it make sense....do the work mom and sacrifice....if it means a charter school work on getting her in..if it is private school find out if there is financially scholarship ...

It can be used for good or evil it's the mindset of the person operating it there is a old saying the enemy mint it for evil but God can make it for good it's a lot they can learn if they are direct right it's base on what mom and dad putting in the minds of the children they should be controlling how this phone is going to be used under your room

Black people in America must understand the system is against us we have a long history of abuse by the system they just ended segregation in the south in 1968 57 years ago not saying things were right for blacks in north west or east they were experiencing racism to when we have a clear understanding of the past we can understand what is happening today

Self hate for black people in America comes from white nationalism the white man in America wants to be God everything we see and hear honor him making us want to be like him in our thoughts and actions which is impossible do to us knowing we are black

One thing I will never understand is that, I'm assuming that Baba Kwaw is Muslim and has a huge community of followers? He is evidently articulate and knowlegeable enough with a gift of transforming minds and attracting a huge audiance. One thing that comes to mind that I can't wrap my head around is why all of these guys don't link up and "create" and "innovate" a kingdom for the black youth? Not only for the Muslim community but for all African people? I listen to the Dr. Umars, and this guy and the Farrokhan's but if a person cannot quit their day job with confidence that their brothas will support them and guarantee employment to feed themselves and their family, I just don't know what purpose these groups serve. I love the knowledge, but thats JUST IT, knowledge, what are we inventing of our own to retain wealth and to ensure mental freedom in the community?

I understand your point and your frustration with many in our community, but, with that I say that none of what you have expressed applies here. He is definitely not Muslim . He has and continues to implement programs that uplift our children in ways that ensures their success. The proof is in the pudding. He has no followers because he is about as far from egotistical as one can get. The brother is selfless! Everything for him is about his community. You would be hard pressed to see him without multiple children in tow and as he said he only has 3 biological children, but, he rarely has just 3 with him. And for the record, there is a whole community who have quit their “day jobs” because they do offer something so value that they are compensated for it. Knowledge is one thing. Implementation and application are something different altogether. Walking the walk will always speak louder than talking the talk. An audience??? I would bet that this is the first time that you have seen this brother. Why is that? Because he is busy doing the work and wants no parts of social media or any other Eurocentric platform so it is truly rare that you will ever see him speaking on any of them. I would truly consider this appearance and the wisdom that he imparted here a rare and precious gift.

@ I have been listening to this man and agree with a lot of his ideologies. Please don’t feel the need to attack me. I don’t have a “him” problem. I never point fingers at one person who is doing what he can. As mentioned, he has a brotherhood community, whether Muslim or whichever ISM. This man transform minds and people are listening whether we like it or not, he has an audience. This is not a point to blame nor a defend him conversation. Let’s look at the bigger picture here. On the side of my career, I help bp find work and remain employed. I do a lot for my people and if we not helping and giving back, I’m not sure what we’re doing bc we’re always at the bottom when compared to other races and warrior of men. However, there are so many of our people unemployed and pleading right now for some type of income, unfortunately I can’t help everyone or within the expected timeline. There’s one of me and quite a few others that I know doing what I do. I love what I do but wish I can help more. Our people are discreetly being mistreated in the workforce. Being eliminated one by one and increase in depression etc. We are the only races of people who have men with so much “knowledge” however, our brothers and sisters of all ages are suffering in the hands of unconscious biasness and passive aggression in the workforce and are disrespected everyday. So much more but what are the men as a collective doing to protect the women and children? Our race is the ONLY race where as a collective, the men are perfectly okay with this system and this setup. Where is the pushback? As we speak, THEY are rewriting and distorting our history. Individual intelligence is nice, I agree but what is the black man doing? We need to open our eyes, things are getting bad for us. I’m simply just shedding light on the obvious, what most of our men fear to address. We do a lot of talking as men, a lot of KZbin presence, however, very little change. We’ve lost so much power, respect and guidance. The ONLY race as a collective. Individual success means nothing when the race has little power to sustain. The type of power that can google black people and maintain our publicized truth. I’ve seen enough to conclude this, and nothing that I’m stating today is an exaggeration. If our men don’t step up as a collective with a plan, then we should all be prepared to be taken out one by one. We’ve grown subconsciously lazy, complacent and comfortable. The only races of men on this planet who either voluntarily participate in our demise or sweep under the rug and allow this constant mental torment to persist. Enough is enough. ❤️
