Nice story, my son is a US -AF. He has a connecting flight and was delayed on his first flight. So, on his connecting flight he was late, the plane is already in the runway, the agent called the Captain that he has to go back to the walkway. My Son was surprised and he was honored. It recognizes and honor those men and women in uniform who are currently serving or had served in the Armed Forces of the United States. It is common courtesy to greet a military personnel " Thank You For Your Service " to hear that coming from people, gives veterans a sense of appreciation for their sacrifices. Memorial Day is another Federal holiday on the last Monday of May, honoring and mourning for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while performing their duties in the military. This special day is compared to " All Souls Day " in the Philippines. Vererans, friends and family members of the fallen visits the Veterans memorial cemetery all over their country to pay their respect for their love ones. The view of thousands of miniature American flags on each grave that was put there by volunteers of the Boys/Girls Scouts, Students, and various organizations, is a sight to behold.

😢😢😢😢😢 dipa kasi tapos yung video alam kuna ang mangyayari kaya habang punapanood ko niiyak na ako..ramdam ko kasi ang hirap ng isang sundalo o pulis..at kaya ako napa luha dahil nagawa kuna ito nong makita ko ang babaeng pumulit umupo sa pinto ng jeep paka sakay at makauwi lang..kita ko sa mukha nya ang pagod at puyat kaya pinilit ko syang umupo sa pwesto ko.. at ang sarap sa pakiramdam na makatulong ka kahit sa maikling panahon lang..shoutout nalang din po sa driver ng jeepney na may plakang UWX 995 alam kupong pulis yung nakaupo lang sa pinto ng jeep mo manong pero diko po alam kong pano mo nalamang driver din ako kong kya ibinalik mo ang bayad ko😢😢😢..di tuloy ako makahakbang ng maayos mula pag baba ko sa jeep mo 😢..diko alam kong matuwa o maiyak eh sayang din po ung 12 pesos para sa mga gaya mong tiniis ang hirap sa pasada may maiuwi lng sa pamilya😢😢..godbless nlng po sayo manong🙏🙏🙏

Pauwi ako sa Pilipinas galing Saudi Arabia noong 1990. Of course una ay mag check in at matapos na lahat ay on board na papunta sa eroplano at hanapin ang allocated seat number ko.. Maayos naman lahat sa pag sasaayos ng mga Cabin Crews at ready for take off na ang eroplano. Nag take off na kami at ilang sandali at nag off na ang lights for normal na ang flight ng eroplano. Jumbo 747 ang eroplano na sinasakyan namin. Maya maya pa, nilapitan ako nga Stewardess at tinanong name ko. Tinanong ko kung bakit(?) Punta daw ako sa business class sa itaas at dalhin ko lahat gamit ko at may allocated seat na ako doon.. Nako, baka mag dagdag ako ng Air Fare. Hindi daw. So umakyat ako at sumabay pa sa akin ang stewardess. Pagdating ko sa Business class ay nakangiti ang asawa ng Auntie ko na Flight Purser sa Flight na yon. Happy ako at least nakatikim din ako ng sakay eroplano na nasa Business Class kahit OFW Truck Trailer Driver lang ako. Happy Life lang.

I know how american people respects their armed forces, pag nasalubong nila ang isang military in uniform ay tumitigil sila para igreet at irecognize ang kanilang servicemen. Unlike dito sa pinas halos o ni hindi ko naramdaman ang ganoong klaseng pagrespeto sa isang sundalo sa loob ng 30 years ko in the active service as an Army, but am still thankful dahil nakapagretiro ako ng walang sugat sa katawan.
