As a Retired University-Bursar, who served and retired from the Nigeria University-System about ten years ago, I found it unbelievable that the situation, as lucidly explained by the Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Lagos, could happen the way it's been explained! However, I want to watch further, to see the outcome of the CASE, in order to be educated more on the Financial Management in the Nigeria University-System!

Babalakin is a Nigerian of rare breed. Not a politician, and has not expressed any political intents other than that he wants to see improvement of education system in Nigeria. Sadly sir, vice chancellor BELONGS to the class of mediocres holding political offices in Nigeria. He has now tended his resignation to evidence he is indeed a man of integrity

If his removal was due to gross mismanagement and corruption, then you did the right thing sir. After Jelili Omotola, UNILAG hasn't been so lucky. No one has beat Jelili's record.

I advice the governing council pay more attention to other disheartening situations in the university. Slow system in getting transcript, spending extra two years to graduate in faculty of education (postgraduate full time) despite the fact that one has no outstanding whatsoever including project. It is a very discouraging system. I advice committees are set up to look into these salient issues and more. Sample people's opinions to know their challenges and help proffer lasting solutions.

Wale how many press briefing would have to conduct to explain your actions..all you are doing is trying to tarnish the name of the VC instead of saying you did follow due process .

We need more Wale Babalakin in Naija. The noisemakers such as asuu and senate are supporting the former VC without asking for facts of why he was sacked.

Be in jail for what please? You only generalised your views, why should he be in jail? Please educate us!

@@oluolatunde342 You wanna be educated. Really? How about this, is he not a front for certain former president or Head of State that I choose not to identify? And how about contracts money pocketed without actually executing the damn contracts? His type are all over the country and the contraption called Nigeria dies a slow death in their hands because they are untouchable.

@@tundealawal4398 You guys are damn too angry and jealous of the successes of others. Instead working hard to be as successful, you are coming here talking crap. This man has hired thousands of people and created companies paying taxes to the government and hiring people who are feeding their families. People like you certainly thinking government create job and not people like Mr Babalakin. Shine your eyes and get educated, please
