I can resonate with the issue of people's unnatural fear of cats and owls. The staff at my residence were frantic about owls spotted in the garden. I tried to explain it was normal, that it's mating season and once they're done in a few days they'd leave.Even at that they were so disturbed, I had to come out and walk around the garden to assure them they're safe!! 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

The translation is something we need to step away from. Awon Iya or Iyami or Aje shouldn't be translated as "witches". The concept of "witches" is European, quite different.
