Capri Sun means Capri Sonne . Sun is the Englisch word for sonne which is why its called Capri Sonne in Germany . The shown japanese version is either not a knock off but the german version with the Japanese name above it as we can see on the image or they copyd the name 1:1 of the German version.

Capri Sonne was first, because it's a german product. Since 1982 it is selled as capri sun in US, from 2017 also capri sun is used in the german speaking coutries instead of capri sonne.

We've got an Oreo knock off in South Africa just called "Spheres" they're a bit smaller but copy the look and taste of Oreos however some of their flavours are better than real Oreos and they don't cost as much as Oreos.

Anyone here grow up in Kuwait? I remember buying Hawaii, Soudan, TofiLuk and Safari chocolate bars as a kid and relishing them because they were actually as good as the originals. Hawaii was a copy of Bounty, Soudan was a VERY good replica of Snickers, TofiLuk was an ok wix knockoff and Safari was a damn good Lion impersonator. Some food companies have been accused to sell inferior versions of their own products in, e.g., Eastern Europe. Same name, but definitely a knock-off. That's just a money-making scam, nothing to do with quality or taste. I find it quite regrettable, however, that you did not do any taste tests. It's a pretty safe bet that a lot of these so-called knock-offs do not taste much worse than the originals, perhaps even better on occasion. Otherwise, the video is entertaining, as usual. I especially enjoy the short clips from other movies!

Many Philippine products are knock-offs of western products but unlike the Chinese, the packaging and brand name are different that costumers will thinks they are totally different products. Ex. Oreo-Cream-O, Snickers-Cloud Nine, M&M-Nips, Nutella-Goya Choco-Hazelnut Spread, Johnnie Walker-Andy Player and etc.

Prongles was a parody product made as part of a promotional stunt by the Cards Against Humanities people. Sonic Curry was an officially-licensed product, not a knock-off. Capri-Sonne is just how Capri-Sun's name is (or was) spelled in some European countries and is literally the same product.
