Babeli is undoubtedly one of the biggest inspirations of modern beatboxing. His techniques are found in various famous beatboxers around the globe. In this unboxed session he showed us some very unique patterns and melodies.

Short answer is by learning how to control your breath from 2 places, 1. Pushing air out of your lungs (obv) and 2. Holding your breath but using the muscles is your cheeks and face to move air around without breathing, which allows you to almost sound like you're making 2 sounds at once. Look up circular breathing here on KZbin and you'll get a good idea of the basic mechanics of how someone could start building the skill.

The answer is hollow clops dont require anything other than a tongue action the breathing only enhances the sound to give it the reverb effect and the snare hes doing is a rimshot which allows him to breath inwards in between the reverb breaths

I wouldn't go that far as to say that you know nothing like the previous response, but I can say that in a showcase in this platform you are wrong on looking at it that way; it's not the same for the general public (as myself) who definitely will prefer to see less "show off" and a more close to musical standards approach than for people who are (more) invested in the crafting of beatboxing skills and sounds. Even if I would prefer that middle part you mention I understand that the beats I do not like that much are simply not for me but for his pairs to judge If it wasn't for that there would be less improvement and advancement of the beatbox scene and we would be still stuck on that Billy Jean routine that went viral early 2000s
