The babies want to climb the wires etc, by themselves but their little arms start trembling. They are still babies after all. Mom let's them try, but is right there to scoop them up when they are just ready to fall. JW thank you for another glimpse into the lives of our furry friends! I appreciate all you do, (like filming in the rain)!

Just like people, they are sometimes born with birth defects, if I'm not mistaken this is called Ectrodactyly (split hand). One of the troops that live near the bottom of Monkey Hill, have multiple cases in their young. I'm not sure if they've linked it to a certain breeding male or specific family, but thankfully it doesn't seem to slow the babies much!

The sex of the babies and, in one case, it appeared to be pointing out a tattoo on a mother's chest. I'm hoping that means she beat the odds and her spay surgery didn't work.
