Oh what a label! Classic Rides Again, Rumours, Ruff We Ruff, Pirates On The Shore, Once Bitten. All up there with the top tunes of the decade. Classic Sounds must be one of the most unique Reggae labels on the planet with that label design and the productions, just incredible! I only have Once Bitten though, others are way too expensive and rare but will get them one day! CLASSIC!!!

In my opinion Ruff We Ruff is the by far the best tune on this label.The production in rumours reminds me of hte super mario world haunted castle

@buckbumble Ruff We Ruff took me 8 years to find! And a couple weeks later I found a 2nd copy online for a few dollars which I traded to a friend. There's another wicked classic sounds.. Little John - Reality which is on YT also, but its not great as Rumours, Ruff & Pirates.

there is nothing wrong with the pressing. Ossie Creary (formerly of Summer Records and Half Moon and later to Ossie Sounds) was an innovator and always pushing the envelope with regards to producing/engineering his projects.

@wikidub All copies of this tune sound like this unfortunately. There is an Alton Ellis 12" on the same label up on ebay right now with the same problem.

Oh yea..is your pressing of this 12" not the greatest sound quality. I'm assuming all copies are that way? I have an EX copy and it sounds kind of dull.

@higherregion Ruff We Ruff is a hard piece of digi! Can't find it for love nor money though. This is very very different to the Horace Martin, a lot more unique in my opinion. And yes, I remember you saying it sounded like something from Super Mario, haha. Nintendo + Digi = A Good Time in my book :D
