I love how Josh sat and listened to Sav talk about the nails. Because a lot of the time men (including Josh on this pod) don’t want to hear little things women have to say or details we explain especially about our girly things. It’s interesting for some of us and cute to see him into it and engaging idk loved it lol ❤😂
@briy-gg8oc8 ай бұрын
What makes you think he’s not interested? Listening and pretending to care is literally bare minimum btw
@sadienicole15228 ай бұрын
@@briy-gg8oc I didn’t say he wasn’t interested I said I love how interested he is in a nail convo.. also in the past pods you can hear him say little things like “you don’t need to explain that” or something. It may be bare minimum to listen but you can’t expect someone opposite of you to actually be that interested in little things you are every single time.

It would be so dope to hear y'all talk more deeper about Jesus Christ and your faith. Lifestyle stuff is cool, but you both are a light of this world (Matthew 5:14) with major influence on the lives of those who watch. This podcast could be a powerful platform to minister to people who are near and far from God. I pray God leads you both to boldly speak more about Him to win souls for Christ in Jesus Name! Keep shining!

I have 100% experienced the rude nail lady. I was going to the same nail company for 12 years, and either used the husband and wife who were both extremely talented in intricate designs. I recommended them to at least a hundred people because I am a bartender and have recommended them to literally every girl I have ever worked with. Also, I started going to them when they had a small little shop and now have a whole ass franchise and do very well. Anywho, the last year that I went there appointments were no longer honored. (You make an appointment and come in and still have to wait 30-45 minutes because they took someone right before the appointment they had for you) so that was already irritating. The very last time I went my nail tech was super rushy and when I asked her to fix something that didn’t look right she got an attitude about it. Saying, “well that’s what you asked for” 😳 I was flabbergasted. lol like lady…. I have came her every 2-3 weeks for the past 12 years and spent on average $225 after tipping you $20-30 each time. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I’ve sent to your shops. The least I expect is for you to pretend like you care about how I feel when I come in to get your services.

As a fellow independent nail tech, I don’t believe that she was “fired”, I do believe that she was sneaky and quit on the owners as soon as she was able to recruit all of her “loyal clients”. It absolutely sucked that you weren’t able to get the nails that you wanted. But I do agree, traditional nail salons will do their best to get you in and out, but when you go to someone that cares about the quality of their work, it’s a complete 180 from the salon.

on the nail topic, I asked for pretty much the same design a few years back. my mom was with me but she had already finished so she was gonna pay and go to the grocery store next door while I finished. they would not let her pay for my nails until they were completely done and wouldn't even tell her how much they were going to be. the tech was already super mad that I wanted them cut down and then he charged DOUBLE what my nails usually cost. I would have been fine with like $5 for a design but they were $80. we never went back

That whole “let him” concept is so important for boys. I have a 1 year old son, and naturally I want to just follow and protect him. But my husband has been big on encouraging me to let him explore and try things. Of course I’m close by if he’s going to do something explicitly dangerous, but most of the time he is completely fine despite my worrisome mom heart. Welcome to the life of being boy parents! It was hard for me at first and even my mom who watches my 2 boys now she raised 4 daughters and had no idea how to change a boys diaper at first. She charged an extra five bc it's the work not the amount of color. French tip is more and if she needs more mental effort to do 8 different colors which takes more time and with dip gotta make sure it don't bleed. So that's cheap. I'm from NYC and they charged far more

I’m sorry this happened to you with the nails! I’ve had some awful nail and hair experiences. I usually never ever speak up, regardless of how much I spend and if I’m happy or unhappy. I was told to get a simple design because he forgot his wife’s birthday and other stuff. My time wasted or bouncing around to accommodate others, taking advantage of my time and patience, or waiting 45 min for someone to show up. Or even charging a ton of money for heroic stuff. I’m almost 40 so I feel so silly but I’m trying to teach myself to speak up. I don’t have to be rude, and it does not make me rude but I can defend myself.
