Those doctors gaslit her. If a mom says "this isn't my baby" a doctor's FIRST reaction should be to order a dna test, not try and convince her she is wrong.

Something tells me that was not the first time it happened and they just normalized "it's not my baby." Whoever was the nurse responsible for such a stupid mistake should have her/his license revoked permanently.
@belladingdong33964 жыл бұрын
@@Mariet31 Yes, but no. No matter what, the first response to a woman saying for the first time, "this isn't my baby" needs to be hospital procedure to immediately order a test. If it's a "repeat" offender, you can stop testing. But a new mom? Test for her sake. In america, that's just another excuse to charge more money anyway. I agree though that the nurse and doctor who refused to order a DNA test need to have their licenses suspended.
@belladingdong33963 жыл бұрын
@@Mariet31I hear you, but I'm sorry that's still no excuse. The mentality of the hippocratic oath should lead to the logic of first validating any medical concern by ordering the appropriate tests and THEN determining if that concern was legitimate or not, depending on the results of the test, not the opposite way around. That is lazy medical care, that is jaded medical care, and that is negligent medical care.

ma wee chickadee WOW!!! Are you really that judgmental and lacking in compassion??? The woman was on an emotional rollercoaster. She had loved a child as her own unconditionally for several months. Even nursed that child. Then her real child is found. Sounds like she simply needed some time to adjust to that reality before having to face the reality that finding her own child meant losing the child that had been in her care. It wasn’t a matter of her “selfishly” desiring to keep both children. Seems like she simply hadn’t had time to absorb the fact that as she gained one child she was about to lose another. @@Hello-uv3nz Your naiveté betrays your green age (or undevelopped culture) in your inability to detect the well intended and correct naming : United Statians, that befits you. Indeed, let me teach you who you really are straight from the dictionary : "A United Statian (or simply Statian) is a person from the United States of America, since the term American refers to any person in the western hemisphere." A Columbian is an American too and so is a Sho Shon or Alconquian Amerindian. But you, you are the descendant of the group that calls itself the United states under its constitution and is most correctly named a United-Statian, which is more defining and precise than loosely calling you an american Like a Brazilian. This is your first lesson. Second lesson that you are in need of : English style. A "Texan american" is correct language style. The intended redundancy is not incorrect when it is a sub-categorization like Apache Indian or New south wales Australian, or Parisian French. Now if you had any manners you would thank me for teaching you who you are and proper English. But no, If you want my respect you will have to teach me something in French. @@lilyoftheflorida1258 I heard an interview with the other mother and she was more easy going and not as emotionally attached to the child that wasn't hers. She had suspected and expressed doubts from the beginning as well which should have made the nurses take notice but they didn't. She saw her baby at the judges office and said, "Thats my baby." She got a fat settlement just like the other couple and it was deserved but she seemed to take it all in stride more than this mother. People are all different. I don't judge her for it.

Here is a true scary story 11/20/1997 I was leaving the hospital with my mom My sister had been there all day & many hours later had my niece.As Mom & I were walking this man had a pink diaper bag & was walking very fast & 2 cops came running one grabbed him one took the diaper bag opened it & there was a baby. I promise this is true.The next day we went to see my sister & my niece My Mom took a black sharpie & mad a black dot on each foot.So yes crazy thing's happen yes these day's they are more careful with hospital tags on baby cord & bracelet's on the parent's. But still thing's can happen. much love to all.

There was a story about a girl and her parents killed in a car accident. It turned out the girl was switched at birth because the people who raised her were poor and the other baby had a heart problem. The one with the heart problem had well off parents who took great medical care;however they divorced because while looking for a donor matches of marrow the DNA said impossible for the dad to be the dad. Yet didn't acknowledge the mother was not the mother. After suing the hospital the family learned their daughter died in a car accident.

She was also almost likely out of it because she just gave birth. Her body was just pumped with drugs and the powerful hormones that are a part of the birthing process. When I gave birth I found it hard to even engage with anybody in the room for the first day. Every woman reacts differently to birth.

It is a super weird case. The other mother had his husband by her side when their bio baby was born, it was a full term pregnancy, a big and chubby baby that look exactly like the bio father, dark skin, round face, brown eyes, they look alike. they took a lot of pictures of the bio baby with them and had the baby with them (before the change was made) longer than this mom. Before the change was made, this mother of the interview had no relatives with her at the moment of birth, her husband was in USA while wife was giving birth earlier than expected in El Salvador) and giving birth a premature baby that was skinny, a bit underweight, blonde, blue eyes, white skin, and only one picture was taken of this baby and his bio mom because he was premature and needed special care at the moment. I saw a couple of interviews (in spanish) of the other mother and other father, and they were crying and complaining about giving back the baby to his bio parents, talking about him like “our son”, but when they talk about their bio child, they talk about him like “the other baby we have now”. The other mother seems to be having a hard time getting used to her bio baby, as well as the other father. They complained that they didn’t have enough transition time, that they needed a few months to process the situation, and after enough time give the baby back to his bio family. The other parents also said that “the baby they have now” doesn’t adapt himself to the new family and new voices he never heard before...🤔 (what about all 9 months in the womb hearing mother and father’s voices?). It seems like the other parents are not accepting completely the change and the poor bio baby is feeling all that rejection and doesn’t feel comfortable. Adapting themselves, bio parents and bio child, it’s being harder for the other family.
@mariselalira67793 жыл бұрын
@@beingnavn5532 that’s not true. The other mother said in some interviews that his husband took a lot of pictures of the bio baby with them, while mother was conscious and aware after c-section. It was a full term baby, chubby and big. But the baby they finally took home was premature, small and skinny. Their lawyer told in an interview that the baby they took home after 4 days in the hospital, haven’t open his eyes yet and was completely wrapped in blankets and the parents took him home like that, thats why they didn’t even notice the difference... 🤔🤔🤔 parents ALWAYS check their babies from top to bottom before leaving the hospital and babies are not kittens, they open their eyes since day one. It is a very weird case.

The dad falling so in love with the child so much that he couldn’t see that it wasn’t really his own child … There’s something really wholesome about that. Could you imagine the awkward feeling of realizing that you have been physically nourishing and emotionally bonding with a child that isn’t yours biologically?? I feel for this mother and father so much … I really can’t imagine the whirlwind of emotions they must have went through. This video is 6 years old now and I can’t help but to wonder if they have continued a relationship with the other family after all these years.
