Part 5: • Baby Blue Cries over S...
Part 3: • Baby Blue (Pretty Rick...
Part 1: • Baby Blue (Pretty Rick...
--------
In this clip, Baby Blue reflects back on Pretty Ricky's debut LP (Bluestars) and the impact that the "Scream Tour" with Lil Bow Wow and Omarion had on their album sales. The Miami native shares details about tour life and the way in which his band interacted with their legions of female fans. He also declares that his band blazed a trail for other up and coming artist from their region of Florida because they come up during a time when no one knew of people like T-Pain, Rick Ross and Piles yet.
As the discussion between Baby Blue and Vlad continues, the rapper talks about the making of Pretty Ricky's second studio album (Late Night Special) and earning production credits on the project while working side by side the late Static Major.
Lastly, Baby Blue talks about the internal beefing that was going on amongst the band members and the moment when Pleasure P went off to pursue a solo career. He attributes Pleasure P's departure to lingering "money issues" with their record label.

Lowkey Timbaland & Missy give their artist a chance to really make $$$$! Most of the hits they got came from the artist they had signed..Tweet, Keri Hilson, Static MAJOR, and Smoke (The lead singer from Playa-the light skin guy 🤣) they all wrote or co-wrote a lot of the hits we love. The story I LOVE is they got a call to submit a song for Dr. Doolittle and only had a night to make to make it but it would pay 500,000. Static and Smoke crafted the lyrics and vocals for Are You That Somebody in a night and submitted the next morning....smh...one word TALENTED...🔥🔥🔥

These guys came along and emulated the music sound of “Pretty Willie” (Willie Moore Jr now)the R&B / Rapper..! Listen to Willie’s sound “Lay Your Body Down” and “These 4 walls” etc…! BUT you can’t get mad it’s the music business and they worked it as young kids… sad that the music business don’t give the artist a lil more bread! Prince tried to tell you in the early 90s and explained it all before and during his “Emancipation” CD he even wrote SLAVE on his face! And got out of his Warner bros contract and became an independent artist and made 100% of his money afterwards and controlled his music! You youngsters better open your eyes.. and stop buying “Hype and Hoes” but get the bread!$$$$

He think he called Static Major...wow. The lies! Static wrote and recorded "your body" and "on the hotline" I have the reference tracks. PR just did a voice over. He also contributed to Pleasure P's solo album "The introduction of Marcus Cooper." The first two PR albums were undoubtedly 🔥🔥Static Major was a major pillar in the R&B genre respectively. How can anything about such a legend be forgotten?🤔

went to a PR concert & one of them threw a towel in the crowd .. hit me dead in the face .. there were girls on both sides of me that grabbed each end at the same time. ... they damn near choked me to death. 😄 Slick em licked the top of a water bottle and acted like he wanted to give to the crowd... man they climbed all over my axx trying to get that bottle. he laughed at how crazy they were acting and to this day.. Pretty Ricky is the reason i DO NOT go to live concerts. lmaooo
