The good thing about wild baby pigs is that their cute and they stay small and thin. The bad is that most remain high strung, rarely relaxing and not receptive to a cuddle.

That's because they destroy the environment at an alarming rate in the States. They also drive out the native species and invite invasive ones wherever they go. That and they have been coming into populated areas and there have been fatalities caused by those hogs. Finally, they're overpopulated and are destroying the crops of many farmers, Texas alone has an estimated 2-6 million hogs and the population is still growing at a rapid pace.

Nice little family group ! But make no mistake, though hand raised and friendly, even this young they do have teeth ! And that sow weighs at least as much as an adult human and knows how to use those tusks ! Just to bring some people up to speed on wild and domestic gone feral 'pigs' here is something you need to know. The wild boar and all its relatives are not indigenous to my country and many others. They have become a menace to natural habitat and water shed, carry diseases, and destroy fields and crops at an alarming rate. In some regions they are legally killed (using any means available) on sight, trapping and transporting them alive, even to a licensed butcher, is illegal in other areas, even selective poisoning is regulated but encouraged in a few more and no hunting license is required. Some country's dealing with the epidemic include New Zealand, many Pacific islands and 15 American States. They were brought here but they have no natural predators. One sow can average 3 litters per year, 6-9 per litter . . . . and can begin breeding at 6-7 months.

I've been looking at a number of boar vids, and I think I've been following this uploaded for awhile. One question. Are these the largest boars in the world? Well really, the largest and most powerful? I'm here in the states and the hunters here end up getting a couple of large ones, but it almost looks like if these particular boars grew to maximum size, they would be the largest. Well I guess I have one more question to ask. Are these boars the smartest? I don't know how you do it, but with all the hunters in your area, these boars, even if you've not seen the for a season seem to really trust you. Lime really trust You! You don't see wild hogs letting you get close to there young. Not only that, but they seem to trust anyone who is with you. Even those pain in the ass yapping little dogs. In reality, those vids are pretty funny. They act all tough and as soon as the boar gets close enough to touch them, they start crying!! Sissy's!
