I love the way Bonobos females share motherhood responsibilities. The babies grow up having multiple mothers & nannies. They truly are a Majestic species. Among the animal kingdom.

Wow - you can really tell that we share around 97% of our DNA with these gorgeous creatures when you see something like this! Another breathtaking video❣️
@pommiebears2 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s closer to 98.6% of our DNA. 50% of our DNA is shared with….bananas. We’re connected to all living things. But, I do see how closely related we are, especially in the Bonobos.
@Kim-lc3fv2 жыл бұрын
We share the highest percent with bonobos than any other pyimate. I think it's actually higher than 97%.
@vjc22702 жыл бұрын
@@Kim-lc3fv - Wow! 🤩 That really doesn’t surprise me. Maybe the 97% is “chimps” in general. It’s a very long time since I did primatology at uni! 😄I love Bonobos because they seem to lack the propensity for cruelty that humans and the larger chimpanzees sometimes exhibit.

It's SO CRITICAL we raise the numbers of these beautiful creatures!! With an estimate of 10-12k left in the wild they will go extinct when our children have children. Because of war, Bush meat, deforestation and certain parts our cell phones, computers and other electrical components that are being mined in the Congo. Education is the key!!

I LOVE Bonobos! But I'm trying to understand, after reading your info: where do you get these videos of rare Bonobos & other common primates? Why do you have a PayPal account? I ask only because I can't stand anyone who abuses & exploits any animal anywhere, but especially doing it for money. I'm not accusing you I'm just curious. 😁 I've seen some pretty nasty, blatant abuse or poor, vulnerable baby primates on KZbin, so I'm VERY cautious.
@LiekesShotOfLife2 жыл бұрын
I film all primates in zoos. Only in zoos where I know for sure they are taking really good care of the animals. Which I also communicate in my subscription. I make videos to educate people to let them know how wonderful these animals are but also how important it is to safe them in the wild. Unfortunately they aren't safe and they need lots of help in the wild. I think everyone likes to see them the most in the wild, but only if they're safe! My PayPal account is for people who like to donate for my gass money to drive to zoo's to make these kind of videos. Because this is not something what makes a lot of money. Hope I've answered you're question. ;)

Can anyone in authority say what happen to Kanzi the bonobo that was trained by Dr Sue????.Is he still alive??? I so loved him and his family!!
@frankierivera85522 жыл бұрын
Kanzi is still alive an just had a birthday about two weeks ago. And it’s a very complicated situation that happened to them and Sue. She is no longer in charge of them. Those videos are still available, but there are also a lot of new ones. I highly recommend you google Kanzi, and the court battle that took place over their custodianship, it was a truly sad and ugly court fight for the Bonobos, Kanzi sister Panbanisha who was more intelligent than him died during this court battle. Anyway Sue also has a few videos where she talks about what happened, you can find the videos here on KZbin.. So I highly recommend checking it out.
