I like the concept of Albatross having the clam necklace. Even if it’s only a design thing, I really like it. You can even look at the clamshell necklace figuratively! It’s like Albatross will always have a rope around his neck, a rope of guilt and anger that gets tighter and tighter the more he tries to forget. Only when Albatross embraces his anger and fear as part of him, does he feel as if the necklace of everything haunting him snaps. And when it snapped, nothing was holding him back and he allowed it. Not that I’m saying it excuses his actions, it doesn’t, but yeah. I just feel really bad for him.

I feel like Albatross is sort of underrated. He discovered he had animus magic by accidentally hurting his sister. His other sister used him for his magic for the rest of their lives, when Albatross finally snapped and massacred nearly the entire royal family.

This says a lot about Animus magic actually, the fact that Albatros felt like he was treated less than his sisters, that resentment built up over the years, twisting his point of view. I don't think Animus magic can turn someone evil, I think it completely depends on emotional state and what your intentions are.

I love this so much, it really shows that albatross made mistakes but he also was sane at one point, and if anything it also helps prove that albatross really wasn’t the biggest problem in the royal family, it was Lagoon and Sapphire from the start. Yes what albatross did can’t be justified but he at least had a reason of some sort. I don’t really think he lost his soul to animus magic if you ask me, I think he was driven insane by his regret and constant reminders of failure by Lagoon.

This is amazing! I love the transitions and designs, overall literally amazing! I especially loved when Sapphire's blood was streaming onto Albatross' face... imagine ripping out your sister's fingertips, or even fingers down to the first knuckle then having your other sister torment you about it and constantly remind you of it. And just an edit, makes me feel even worse for Albatross in this animation, he did something horrible as a kid and instead of getting help, everyone ridiculed him and shamed him for a mistake. He grew up with a constant reminder of it on his neck. I imagine he was forced to enchant it so he could never take it off and it made it so he couldn't hurt anyone else (And maybe choke him when he thought of doing so, or choke him when he tries taking it off), so once Lagoon ripped it off of him, his magic ran rampant. He had to deal with his magic taking his soul, and the constant torment of what he did to Sapphire. I also think he didn't want to hate Fathom but did at the same time, not only did Lagoon flash Fathom around as 'Albatross' replacement', but Fathom got to learn about his animus magic easily, not going through the same torment as Albatross had to. After all of this, what he did to Sapphire, how Lagoon always hated him, guilt tripped him, and made him feel horrible, how Fathom got a perfect life, it drove him to insanity, when he finally committed the massacre.

Okay, the style that you did with Albatross is just genius Making him have a light, pale green color makes beautiful sense.
