Once a month in New Haven we gather, artists of all mediums, and share a piece, swap work, and create something inspired by the piece you took from someone. Tina wrote this song for a baby being born in our community; Alysia, who was processing her cousin's situation, wrote this poem off that song. Thus, they performed it together. This was written in one hour- & not practiced even once

Your words have truely moved me to tears!! I believe most minorities have felt this exact way about a family member at some point. You are a true inspiration!! Never stop what your doing because God has amazing things for you!! God bless you Ms.Harris.

@empresseileen - "Baby boy you're gonna be somebody... You will be loved, you'll be protected, you will be beautiful.... before the day you were imagined, the father knew your name, he wrote down all your days, he memorized your face. Before the day you were created, god breathed his life in you. He's knitting you together inside of your mothers womb"
