Mumei’s voice is a bit softer and has a little chirping note to it. Gura’s voice is slightly more mellow, but it’s also a little more shrill at higher pitches. Mumei’s higher tones isn’t as shrill, but makes her chirpier than usual. Their voices are both slightly scratchy and are in the nearly same pitch. You really can’t tell them apart if they even casually mimic each other. Their voices are so naturally similar that… I think I wouldn’t have noticed it if it wasn’t for my years spent on music lessons… .-.

The chainsaw method of cutting into that area was actually much more effective and safer than what they were doing before. C-section was around, but it was FAR more dangerous in that time period, usually only done if the life of the mother was in serious jeopardy. The chainsaw seemingly saved more lives than you would think, until we could do C-sections safely.

@@voxalpha577 it kinda does since bone is very hard while flesh is pretty soft. Flesh can easily be cut with a knife (scalpels are just really sharp and small knifes) which would make using a chainsaw excessive, also the teeth would likely cause unnecessary damage compared to a straight smooth blade by catching around the intended cut Meanwhile for a bone you need to put in more work, with a regular handsaw it takes quite a bit longer and you want to be quick between opening and closing the patients body, so a rotating blade is great (today we tend to use oscillating saws which i personally find to look even more terrifying)

Even better it was handcranked. Before the introduction of Caesarean sections were used, If the baby is too large for the birth canal, bits of the pelvis would be cut away to allow the baby to come through.

These were not powered by a motor back then, they were hand cranked and would be about the size of your standard bone saw of the time.

Keep in mind a C-Section is essentially disemboweling a woman versus sawing off parts of her pelvic bone. Also remember that this was far before modern germ theory. People had a concept of filth but it was nowhere near what we'd consider post 1950s standard. So yeah this was arguably a lot safer. Sort of like blood transfusions, which before we discovered blood types just ended up with lots of people dying due to incompatible donors. I also want to point out that they were already sawing through the pelvic bone this just made it faster.

Mumei really emphasizes the fact that Hololive really does try to have a streamer for everyone. Not to mention that Gura may be having that wtf reaction, but the fact is the way she and Mumei mesh together the way they do really shows that the casting team did a hell of a job. And of course! Love these animations.
