A pair of doves were making a nest near my balcony every single year. Too bad, none of those eggs or babies made it to the adulthood. Watching your video gave me so much happiness, seeing some of them are making it to the adulthood, just incredible. Thank you!

thanks for sharing this! Thus is happening on my 2nd story balcony right now in the space between where it's screened on ledge that I can't access . The babies are doing well & getting bigger & I've been concerned on what's next. Your video is hopeful that my nest will have same results. Feeling so honored that I get to watch this; I feel so protective & talking to them daily.

They have the most beautiful sweet love for each other and such a strong sense of family - I'm in tears. I love these doves so much. I'm so happy there's a flock at my work that's growing. I've been able to help a couple of them who have gotten stuck, and now bring and scatter seeds around...they just have the most graceful and peaceable presence. They form lifelong bonds with their spouses, they're courageous and inspired and they sing so sweetly for everyone! I wish every human family could be this loving. The world would truly be a better place. Edit: and I wanted to say that you put so much love, appreciation, thoughtfulness, and hard work into making this video, and it really shows. I'm so thankful your focus on the doves let them and their love shine through, rather than focus on your experience with them - it really gives us, the viewer, an opportunity to see more about you and what you value, even indirectly. It's such a precious thing, to be given the gift of sight to see this sweet love, this divine love, in the hearts of these sweet doves. I'm so thankful there are others out there who see it. And I am so doubly grateful for you sharing this story with us. It makes me want to cry. Thank you so much.

Than you for this reassuring video. I was helping grow two rescue baby doves whose nest came under attack of a cat. One of them flew away today. Hopefully he is safe n sound and happily chirping somewhere. 2nd one is still growing n learning to fly. I just hope I get to see them once both of them flew away. I am so attached

Just found one on the ground, in the pouring cold rain. Walking my dog at night, firs left it alone, but then came back and carefully covered it with the towel, then made a comfy cage out of a puppy travel box. Poor birdie still can't fly, but it's trying. I wonder if it can eat seeds yet. Fully feathered but soaking wet. Wing span about 5-7 inches. I have put some seeds into small water dish. Now gonna be looking for feeding methods, then give the little adventurer to bird rescue guy at work on Monday. Wish me luck, this thing is so cute.

While I can't say why or what happened but it almost sounds like there might have been something that caused them to Fledge early? Last year for the first time I had a pair of doves use my Window on Second floor for nesting spot. After the second pair Fledged last year the momma was taken in my Back yard at the feeders by a cat. I was heart broken in 2 ways one because she was gone, and two because he went the rest of the season without a mate. The good news was the first part of Spring he came back and found a mate, Offered her the nesting site and she took it. The first pair Fledged and I was so happy. I was testing a Camera in the area after the first pair fledged and when I seen she returned I took that camera out and added another one this time so I could watch them. She laid 2 more eggs and after a little over a week after she laid her second pair of eggs something Snatched her from the nest at just after 2am. (My guess a Screech Owl to feed her young) Looking right away to find out the eggs shouldn't be with out one of the parents for longer then 30 min. I thought for sure they were doomed. Daddy returned at 525am and went back to sitting. I thought for sure they wouldn't hatch. I thought he wouldn't be able to care for them alone if they did. Crazy thing is that night a Female came to the Nest without him ever leaving and took the mommas spot. 8 and 9 days later the eggs hatched and the Surrogate momma and the daddy brought them to Fledge. He started a couple of days before they fledged to try and find a new mate. The female i am guessing is his Daughter and so they won't mate. It has been a week since they fledged and I did make a short video of them Fledging to update my Channel because I did post the video of the momma being snatched and I was very happy they made it to Fledge and feel it was a Mircle. I think your 2 might have fledged early for some reason because all of the ones that have fledged here have always been able to fly around and be with the other birds in the back yard at the feeders the next day from the day they fledged if not the same day. Every day now he is still in search for a new mate to try and have more before breading season is over. Thank you for sharing your video.

I have a pair that nest in our back patio 3 - 4 times per year. This has happened for three years so far. We have seen about 20 of these doves go from egg to adult so far. One time we tried to rescue one that the parents rejected. It turned our it was sick with the avian pox. They are very smart! We ended up taking it to a rehab but it had to be put down.

Ah I'm so Grateful to come across this wonderful Lil story!...as I was Surfing on Turtle Dove fledglings, that I discovered on the ground under neath the Nest ...with Mama sitting watching us try to help back to the nest. I've found where advised to allow the Parents to care for them as fledglings often do this when ready to Sprout thier wings! Seeing here what Loving and caring the Parents are gives me some relief as to...What to do? The nest is way too high for even my tall stature...what concerns me is...the neighborhood Cats! Ugh! I'll keep a close eye on him...and Pray he won't get eaten! 🙏🐦🙏 Thank you for sharing this well filmed and narrative delightful story of creations Wonderous innate Love of a Parent! 😊 💙🐦💙

Thanks for this video! It's good to see the full process. I have a dove family of 4 on my balcony right now as well. I guess the babies are squabs at this point. Luckily it's only a 2nd floor balcony and there are no outdoor cats on this street, so I think they will be okay once they leave the nest. But anyway, it's such a heartwarming thing to watch unfold

I watched this video because I found one and was worried if it was injured so I got a box to put it in gently but made sure if that's what it needed since I didn't know a lot about birds since there's like dogs and cats around here where I live so I got worried if I left it but if it's supposed to be on the ground at this stage then I'm going to put it back where I found it 👍 but I just wanted to make sure the bird was okay
