Baby elephant costume created for the Jumanji screening in Japan, 2018. Carved from polystyrene / styrofoam, with a skin of clay. Moulded with resin and glass fibre, cast in a self skinning foam, and artworked with acrylic paints.

I come from a long line of craftsmen, carpenters and engineers. I was blessed with the craftsman traits of my family and I'm so fascinated by any kind of craftsmanship like this.The work that you guys do is incredible and the fact that all of you seem to enjoy your work and take pride in it really makes it that much more entertaining to watch. I wished that they did used a thin base layer over the foam skin with textile paint which is used with printing on textiles. Because this liquid paint in many different brands contents an acid which makes this base paint under the acrylic paint a better to stick to the foamrubber skin paint then just a basic acrylic layer does. But expereance will learn after all I guess.
