The gorilla’s being ‘trained’, like by a human? By another species other than its own? the comment would be laughable if it wasn’t so honestly sad, it’s not being trained, it’s a prisnor. .Zoo owners should be shipped in cages to the far reaches of the jungle and have to fend for themselves, they’d know then how cruel life is for wild animals locked in zoos, for any animal constricted to a cage and this includes puppy mills- I’m not dissing your comment but enuf is enuf already. .

I'm sad to see you can only see entertainment as the reason they would be kept. Those barriers aren't there to keep them in, it's to keep stupid humans out who would attack or kill them, or elsewise ruin their day. Many these days are born inside and thus are not able to adapt to life in the wild. And these days new arrivals only consist of those who are no longer able to live outside anymore for one reason or another. You would condemn them to death because in your misguided view their freedom matters more than their lives.

If you watch silverbacks long enough, you'll realize they are the perfect father and humans should mimic their behavior. They are caring when they need to be, playful when they need to be, disciplinarian when they need to be and highly protective of their troops (families). They are also gentle with smaller females during sex. Overall, the gorilla troop is more evolved than chimp groups.
