@@monkeycat48 I'm tired of comments like this. People keep misinterpreting them. For one, he never said they were dogs and no matter what they're related to, there's no denying that hyenas are physically dogs. Also, hyenas may be more related to cats than dogs, but that's like saying that horseshoe crabs are more related to spiders than crabs. It's true but people who don't know any better tend to take it as hyenas are not just related to cats but that they are actually cats. In terms of hyenas, they are very distantly related to cats and their closest relatives are civets and mongooses. Take a look at the African palm civet and compare it to a hyena.

I am SIX YEARS late, but leaving this here in case anyone wants to read this. These are Spotted Hyena cubs, they are born very developed, with open eyes and teeth poking out of their gums. These two have black fur, so they are younger than 3 weeks old, when brighter hair starts growing all over them. By the time they've reached maturity, they will have a spotted coat of fur.

Seems more like a zoo that uses the baby animals to attract more people into the zoo, which is kinda fucked up for the cubs since they are being torn away from their mothers to be paraded around. The time they spend being paraded around is time they lose bonding with their pack

@@Elbowbanditest2003 oh I noticed it was American cause of the accent of the people in the background, and the description says Animal Kingdom NJ, which I think is New Jersey. I'm sure the caretakers didn't mean any harm, and these cubs are too young to hurt people, so no one was in danger! I just find it unfortunate that cubs are used to draw in people. If you wanna see what adult hyenas look like, you should check out Kevin Richardson's "The Lion Whisperer"! He's got a pack of hyenas in his sanctuary, really interesting fella
