I don't care how much people say "He Is CaRrIeD bY hIs EnGiNeEr" first of all I'm pretty sure Mike Dean or any other engineer wouldn't want to waste his time on talentless people. Secondly, Travis is an essential part of the equation. Even if you take the most basic melodic vocal chain (AutoTune and reverb), no one can ride it like Travis can. Does he rely on vocal effects? Yes. Is he being carried by his engineer? Hell no.
