It’s amazing the cold tolerance animals have. Just watched all your older videos and it’s interesting to see your progress. Take care. 😊

Love your soundtrack. Do you think that the Suffolk sheep would be better at handling the cold temps?

I am not a sheep farmer and I know nothing about sheep . Please humor a watcher of sheep farms. Love Sandi too.

My dorper sheep (have a few videos of them out on KZbin here too) handle the cold just fine A lot of the time it’s not the breed of sheep that makes them tough and hardy- it’s how you select stock for replacements from that breed. Or at least in my opinion Rj sheep farm has rideau sheep. Great high prolific ewes. Suffolks generally have a less prolific side aka less lambs aka less profit aka why bother being out sorting ewes in -25 wind chills for lambing. Haha Anyways. Great video and love the bonus at the end

Those empty ewes I would also look at getting a blood test on a few of them to see what their mineral levels are - here in NZ we use a B12, Zinc, Selenium injection - even on our lambs when they are weaned from Mum get a dose (it makes them eat), as we know our soil is lacking in those minerals and it effects fertility in our animals - Kiwi Farmer did these tests when 1/2 his cows were empty - it was the bull but once his levels came up with a shot from the vet and additional shots from the farmer his sermen levels came up to normal - took around 4 months but of course that calfing season was done just like this lambing group for you

Another good one dude. Camera woman did a good job filming, not falling over laughing like i would have. Also do you ever notice the sheep go just watch the orphan lambs? Or do they just get fully neglected by them?

I enjoy your videos. I have noticed that you don’t have very many foot problems with your sheep is it because you keep them in pens just wondering or is it the breed?

I think because of the cold climate and the dry summers. A few producers have outbreaks with hoof issues but I have been lucky so far

Looking to start a vlog type channel for our farm and curious what camera and mic you use or recommend? Thanks!

You should teach other people on how to control Rams.
