In the series (Hazbin Hotel) in the story of how Lucifer became king of hell he says that he wasn't evil, just very ambitious in his dreams, and the angels were afraid of him precisely because everything he did seemed crazy,but he didn't hesitate to help Lilith after she moved away from Adam and tried to share her knowledge, dreams and powers with Adam and Eve, hence this scene at the end, where Lucifer turned his back to God and protected his dreams until the end, even though he and Lilith would be punished.
