Honestly if you’re having sex before marriage, theirs a very HIGH possibility that you will get pregnant. Coming from someone who just recently had a pregnancy scare and is not married. Was it my intention? No but it happened and I think that is what’s happening here. Does marriage save you from heartbreak and risk? Unfortunately no, however as women we need to require more, and a commitment such as marriage should be a requirement because I really do believe in healthy family dynamics for children and ourselves.

Look at Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, they had kids (by questionable men) out of wedlock too. Black women are not a monolith and I just hope this series of young black female celebs and artists having kids out of wedlock doesn't start to skew ppl's perception about black women as a whole.
