I started crying just a few seconds in. This song means so much to me...it's hard writing this comment right now because I'm still crying. My mom sang this to me all growing up, especially when I was sick or distressed. She still sings it to me even though I'm an adult and there's nothing like hearing you mother sing to you. It's so calming and I can't help but to completely lose it while watching this. My mother is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without her. Lately I keep worrying that my time is limited and I try to cherish every moment I have because I never want to regret it. She's my rock, my inspiration and she's everything that I want to be and more. I never want to take for granted my mother. She's so precious to me and we've been through a lot. Thank you for making this video, it means the world to me and I can't wait to share it with her, she'll probably cry as much as I did.

I seem to share a lot of the same sentiment from people who have commented. My mother and I used to watch Dumbo fairly regularly together when I was a young boy. She was there as a buffer and reminder of assurance during the particularly weird 'drunk' sequence with the pink elephants, etc. I remember her always singing along (beautifully) and holding me while gently swaying during the scene from which this song originates. The memory wasn't one of which I was even aware until this video started playing. I lost my mother two years ago now unexpectedly and I'd give anything to have her back one more time to watch this movie and hear her singing. My wife feared the worst when she walked inside and saw the tears streaming down my face in earnest. They're memories and they may be painful now, but you need the pain to give meaning to the love that follows. If you still have your mother give her a call and hold her close.
