No mittens. She needs use of her hands to grab, grasp and climb. An important part of her development. She needs to build strength. Trim her nails or have someone do it for you. She is a tiny baby and self soothing.

I cannot stand people putting mittens on monkeys. 😡😡😡😡😡😡This baby is unstable at best as he grows up and tries to get around. The mittens hinder any monkey's movement and accuracy climbing and jumping. As you said tonimichael8366, this monkey needs his hands to grab, grasp and climb AND most importantly, he needs his hands to balance as he learns to walk. For the first time, I am giving Yiyi a 👎👎👎and it is nothing Yiyi did, its her cruel humans. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Never thought that I would see cruelty to animals (other than forcing them to walk on 2 feet) on this channel. Cannot see grandpa doing this so probably the son initiated it - but I could be wrong. I do not see what the big deal is with monkeys sucking their fingers. When prevented from sucking fingers, many monkeys suck their toes, knees, blankets, stuffed animals, and/or wrists so NOTHING is accomplished with the mittens. Baby monkeys who suck miss their mothers and the closeness, cuddling, and sucking their breasts. Why don't you try to simulate that by holding and cuddling and give them a pacifier rather than the stupid mittens.👎

Mittens are good to stop her from scratching herself when necessary, but she needs a thumb to suck. It's natural. It comforts her. She needs lots and lots of comforting. She is very young. The thumb is conveniently attached to her, but you could also give her a pacifier. A "Binky". 🙂♥☮

Please don’t be CRUEL to this infant! Those mittens on her hands are CRUEL! The baby needs to be able to sooth herself by sucking her thumb! She would be on her momma 24/7 at this age and being that momma is gone she needs a substitute. Also she is so little she needs her hands to balance and grab on to things! Abuse is very common for these poor innocent babies! They are stollen for profit and then ABUSED by heartless humans who could care less about them!

Ugh, so sad. I can't believe you didn't cuddle the little one in your arms. At that age, they needed to feel safe, cuddled, and loved. And they like to cling to things. Please, next feeding, wrap a blanket or a towel around the baby. Cuddle the little one in your arms and give him his bottle of milk. No, mittens that is cruel. Give him a top off one of the bottles you use as a milk bottle. He is used to that size of nipple anyway. That can be his pacifier. Babies love pacifiers they are calming and comforting for them just like their thumbs or fingers, just have to get him used to sucking on it. 😊
