The best way to learn the pronunciation is to listen to the boys when they speak. They say the words maknae and hyung constantly so if you listen to them say it and not just read the captions you'll learn really quickly. And hyung line and rapline are not the same.. hyung line is Jin, Yoongi, Hobi and Joon.

Exactly. I think this is how I first started to learn Korean. It might have naturally came to me since I’m someone who learns best from hearing so I was able to quickly pick up on Korean vocabulary and how to pronounce said vocabulary while watching things like kdramas and Korean reality TV shows. It took me a while to notice that most people dont actually HEAR what the boys are saying but instead just READ it 😂😂

Maknae : pronounced “mag-neh” (letters K and G are the same letter in Korean, that’s why even with Jungkook’s name you will hear them call him “Jungook” rather than JungKOOK) Hyung: not Hi-ung but “Heeyong” said in one breath (as if you’re reading the word “young” with an H in front). It’s the same logic as saying Taehyung (Tae-hee-yang or even better, Tae-young)

And the "a" sound in Korean is pronounced "ahh", like in "ostrich", while the "ae" is indicated when it is to be pronounced as "eh". In Korean, 막내 - I'm sorry if you can't read Korean, but please trust me when I say, there is no "n" sound in the first syllable. The "n" sound (nieyon) is indicated by - ㄴ - and, as you can see, that is only in the last syllable of the word.

Also during the cooking competition, Jimin wasn't helping not because he was flustered rather they were playing Avatar cooking where Suga (Chef Meow) will rally instructions to one of the member and they will have to direct the other member about it . The members switched every 5 mins . It was a very hilarious RUN BTS episode . So in short , even if RM was flustered Jimin actually couldn't do anything except calmly directing him .
