Oh my GOD what an awesome video! I know exactly how you feel man. I've been into CRT's since before High School maybe, and have always been interested in trying to modify my TV's. Granted, I never tried to add composite to an RF only unit, thankfully my first CRT had composite, but I know all the feelings you had going into this. The fear of jacking with technology this old and this potentially dangerous is huge. Also, another thing. The reason that degaussing coils/rings are so useful are because of the electromagnet inside. You don't inherently need a ring, just a strong magnet. What I did was purchase a degaussing wand off of Amazon form some company in Japan, but if I remember correctly I bought the last one :/. Insanely good video man! Excited to see where the channel goes from here!

Thanks for the kind words :D And yeah I saw a few of those degaussing wand but at the time it seemed faster to just bring it somewhere near me that already had one.

i have some horizontal/ diaganal lines on my blue screen on my JVC mastercommand any ideas what that is
@RetronetYT Жыл бұрын
Your blue output could be up too high. The lines sound like they could be raster lines which happen when the flyback voltage is too high. Regardless, you'll probably need to calibrate the colours and brightness of your set. I followed this guide to do mine in the latter half of the video: crtdatabase.com/faq/crt-color-adjustment
