In December of 1998, a reported kidnapping of an infant child would escalate to an entirely different scenario when the child's body was found in the waters of Brooklyn, New York's Gravesend Bay. Authorities who were investigating a kidnapping were now trying to find answers to something much worse. That child's name was Victoria Maria Santiago, and this is her story. Having a baby who cries all the time is very hard to deal with. But you do your best to find out why. I have 3 daughters and my youngest was a crier I used to say if she had been first she would be an only child. But you don't do such awful things. How can they think that's right. All of this was premeditated by that narcissistic, selfish murdering so-called mother. Victoria had a loving Father who wanted to protect her because he knew Victoria's mother was for the streets. So, she hurried out of TX to go to the city that never sleeps just so that she couldn't be found. She could've left Victoria with her father and then took her ass on. Trust when I say nobody would've been looking for her wicked tail, and that sweet baby would still be here. What saddens me the most is that there's no photo to commemorate the short life she lived. It's just heartbreaking. 💔

I wonder why the landlord let them move in, if babies weren't allowed. I can't imagine two 'kids' could successfully parent under threat of eviction due to a crying baby... he was still a teenager! I can't bremember the mothers age... Where were their parents?... Family? Poor little baby girl, she suffered such brutality, it's heart breaking, I wish they'd given the baby away. Even leaving her alone in a public place, would've given her a chance. I hope her 'mother' never had another child.

I’m also a Victoria born in the 90s. I hate this story. But I’m also glad that us in 2024 know that Victoria Santiago existed. She was a baby who deserved so much better. It’s awful how there’s not even a hospital photo of her. Thank you for all of your hardwork in bringing these stories back to life. Going into the archives for the footage and articles and even visiting these locations makes it all so much more accessible to understand and feel real again. Want to get even more angry? Lisa Vanderlinden, Christy Shaffer & Karla Hamulka all got light sentences after torturing and murdering children. Christy Shaffer only served 77 days for murdering a baby but she pulled 7 years for meth possession! Lisa only served a year. It's absolutely disgusting

I went to visit my newborn granddaughter at hospital yesterday. I was thinking babies are so tender and fragile. Who would have it in them to harm a child. You need to do a story about a mother who purposely drowned her 7 yr old daughter just to get a break. This happened in Hendersonville, TN on July 13, 2024. The mother is Brandi Elliott and the sweet girl was Piper. Her husband was in the hospital when it happened. It's such a sad and tragic story of a girl that was so good and full of life!
