Word of advice for the diaper genie... it works great to contain the smell while it's closed. HOWEVER, when it's time to change the bag and filter, take the whole thing outside. The smell will knock you down! lol

My daughter is 13 months, I exclusively pumped with her. I used the Spectra S2 and the Mon Lait which is just like the Mom Cozy. You are set! I will say I started using my spectra the most, you can also get like a $25 cord battery pack from what I’ve heard that you can make it portable like off of Amazon!

Those gel packs for your breasts were one of my favorite things!! I was a stay at home momma of twins and couldn’t pump as often as I would have liked. I found my best solution was to pump every 8 hours for about 30 minutes (usually while eating a meal), but I would warm those gel packs up and apply them while I pumped which really helped empty me out. They also helped later once I was done breastfeeding and needed to dry up.

The nipple silverettes are absolutely amazing! When I breastfed, my baby had a bad latch which led to severely damaged nipples and they saved my life! I would wear them anytime I wasn’t pumping and they healed me within a couple days so I just continued wearing them because that is a pain I never want to experience again!

So true about the bottles! My oldest only liked Dr. Browns and Phillips advent. My 3 month old only likes the munchkin latch and comotomo so who knows. I will say that mam pacifiers were life saving for both my boys!

I also have degenerative disc disease as well as herniated discs and scoliosis. Unfortunately, even with support for my knees, I could not bathe my kids. My husband has been the one to give baths and while my daughter doesn’t need help anymore, my son is autistic so we still bathe him. The few times I do need to bathe him, I’m basically laid up for the rest of the night. 😢

Nursing can be painful or uncomfortable the first few weeks. Nipple shields are great I've heard. I toughed it out cause I'm stubborn but there's no shame in using a shield lol. I will say latch makes a huge difference even after the first few weeks of course. This might sound silly but honestly the best piece of advice I've received for breastfeeding is kind of shove baby onto your breast when their mouth is open. And bring baby to your breast rather than the other way around.

I’d definitely read the manual for your car seat to see if it’s safe to use the seat cover with it. Most car seats aren’t safe with them in use. We almost got one before multiple people told us about this.
