You have to feed it mice (feeding it chicken parts will kill it). It also can't be "house trained". Check out KZbin channel "Yoll", to see the experiences of an owl that lives in one lady's apartment.

Will they be released into the wild or are you just going to make money off of more wild animals caught against their will?
@bradazthefalconer29127 жыл бұрын
You've probably found your answer to this however it is highly illegal to take Birds of Prey from the wild in England & Scotland. All Birds of Prey in these countries are bred in captivity. Owls are imprinted from a young age so humans seem the norm for them, the birds are totally content with all of this, as this video shows. The raising methods of other Birds of Prey, such as Hawks & Falcons, are different. These are more likely to be parent-reared and then taken at an older age. The whole process of keeping a Bird of Prey is quite natural and causes no stress or harm to the birds, if done properly.

Make money off of it, which is a great outcome for everyone, including of course the owl (which will get access to healthcare, will never be cold or hungry, and will live a longer and healthier life).

This isn't ok - they are petting it like it's a labrador and it is clearly asking them to stop by intercepting with its beak, biting and closing its eyes. Feathers are forming and painfully bend where they are wiggling their fingers - close to the skin - also putting pressure on the owlet's neck by downward pressure and weight of their hands. Bones haven't formed and anyone who knows about taxonomy knows they are hollow in bubo bubo. Leave it alone - it's not a cash cow but an endangered precious animal with its own needs and rights. In the wild, if anything annoyed it like this, the mother owl would see them off; it's sadly defenceless at this age. I wonder how many more ignorami it had to suffer gormlessly mauling it by the end of the day.
