They just seem so comfortable around each other and I strive to find someone I could be myself around with no fear of being judged! skz have always been great supporters and ally’s of the community. like when a fan told bangchan that she met her girlfriend bc of them and it made him so happy and he got all excited. and obviously skz being at a pride parade and buying pride merchandise. and another great one is at a concert felix saw a sign in the crowd that said “bisexuals love felix” and he made a gesture like he was clutching his heart and he seemed really grateful! and hyunjin reading a book about a lesbian couple as well!

the thing i love so much about their friendship is that minho is generally not very open or vocal about his affections, especially on camera, and tends to take care of the members in a silent way. but with jisung he seems to completely forget that they're being filmed; the members have said themselves that minsung are always "in their own world" and i think you can see how much more receptive minho is to jisungs affection when his guard is down and how he seems almost shy around him at times, instead of just laughing it off like he usually does with other people. i adore seeing them together and im just so happy they've both found someone to be this comfortable around

At 16:11 han was actually scratching his leg pretty heavily and he was doing it for a while probably out of stress ( i don't want to assume anything) but lee know grabed his hand for him to stop. He takes care of these types of actions alot when Han does it and I think there is a video that shows that. I really love how supportive he is towards han and I think that probably why Han feels the most comfortable with him ♥️

Like I have that and it can even occur if you have "happy stress" like that's really kind of annoying but you kinda learn to live it....and you can have that the whole body long (which is after hearsay literally hell and especially for babies) or just lil spots, which I lucky got but they do be changing over time. I used to have them in the back of my knees and ellbows and on legs and arms but these days I also already had them around in the ear and on the eyelid (that's kinda shit lol)....

Ngl one of my favourite moments of theirs is during one of Han's vlogs when Lee Know comes to just hang out in Han's room and asks if he wants to go to the river but Han was having a bit of an inside day and said no and Lee Know was just cool with it, didn't try to convince him or anything, just hung out a little longer. It's like the infamous first handholding clip during the survival show- Han was super nervous and shaking and so Lee Know took his hand and swung it a bit and then just held it and made Han smile and relax, and then Han did the same when Lee Know was nervous about the rap. They're both so good at spotting when the other is a bit quiet or maybe a bit down and able to make each other smile or relax with just a touch or a word. They seem to understand each other super well and have their own special dynamic going on. It's super beautiful.

I love what you said about them being accepting of shipping could make a safer space for potentially queer members in the group, I hadn’t thought about it before but it would be a really smart thing to do. Same, as someone who is also part of the community, I always internally struggle with how to interact with other men. Like Felix, I always like to show others love and gratitude through special actions and vocalize my admirations... I also used to get frustrated with shipping (because of how objectifying and fetishizing it can be...) but I'm *incredibly grateful* for the reframing that this serves the members positively and protects them ❤❤❤ Even though I was never big on kpop, the second I discovered SKZ I fell in love, not only because of their sound but their authenticity, their sincerity and drive. And more than anything, how empathetic, open, affectionate and loving they are - and these qualities coexisting seamlessly with their "dark" and "edgy" personas. How open they are helps normalize affection between friends (and male friends at that!), at least for me.

Me too actually :) Like before that jisung used to joke around calling everybody baby but then after this incident and someone asking him on his vlive why he called Lee know "jagi" (which I'm still mad about because it's non of our business) he answered that him hyunjin and lee know call each other that but thinking about it they never actually called each other "jagi" up until that point (that is on camera) and even so it's always jisung calling Lee know jagi now and then but hyunjin never refers to the both of them as jagi unless they make it pretty clear they are talking about their skz family role play other than that it's pretty much minsung calling each other jagi and they started after that one accidental time during Lee know's vlive before that they never did. It's something that made me think to be honest and quite honestly one of the few suspicious moments between them. Because sure most of their moments are cute "minsung interactions" I don't really take them seriously it's just cute and entertaining to watch but there are a few of their moments where I'm like "wait a damn minute, this is sus" and those are the times where I actually start questioning what type of relationship they might have (respectfully so of course because again it's non of our business)

I think (and I might be completely out of my line here) that we are used to seeing and expecting people who are close and comfortable with each other as a sign of romantic attraction when that's really not the most important thing. We do that all the time and sometimes we take it too far, but romantic love isn't the only type of love that matters. They call each other soulmates, they love and cherish each other and I think that that in itself is a gift, they found each other in a sea full of people and they haven't let go, so even if it isn't romantic they love each other, that's a fact and I'm soo happy for them

yep this is a larger problem than a lot of people realize. you hear about the fetishizing BS that lesbians get from straight men all the time, but you seldom see people discuss or bring up how straight women are with gay men in such a blunt manner. Or even some queer women who don't quite realize what they're doing. Listen, I couldn't care less what gets your rocks off, but that dosen't need to involve other real people. Especially when this sentiment is strongly paralleled in the korean industry and society where male idols will do "fan service" with each other and everyone loves it, but gay marriage is still opposed by majority of the public. BL genre of drama has blown up yet, its still very frowned upon for the men doing the acting to actually be gay! people like to say its not as harmful because women aren't necessarily often as creepy about it as men are but, that dosen't hold much validity when its obviously harmful in other ways.

But a lot of the time I get the impression that Lino is very empathetic towards Han's anxieties. I feel like Han sees Lino as a safe space and I feel like Lino is quite protective over Han which is why they're so close. I'm not saying Han can't protect himself or that he needs to be protected but I feel like Lino automatically takes on that role as any of would for someone we care about. Especially as he's older. Hi!! First of all I love your reactions! So about your question on how Lee Know behaves when Han's anxiety spikes there are some clips about that scattered through the compilations, in fact if I'm not mistaken that channel has a specific compilation about that. One of those clips was included in this video: Han got nervous during an interview and kept constantly scratching his leg, Minho noticed and put his hand over Han's knee to signal him to stop. He's always very protective of Han, puts himself in between Han and the press or the fans whenever they are outside and always holds him one way or another when he notices that Han's nervous. There's one video where a fan yelled Han's name in a very loud and aggressive voice and Han was a bit shocked, you can clearly see Minho react by changing his facial expression to a more serious one, holding Han's sleeve and Changing positions in a protective way. On another video, they were eating at a table while talking and Han kept bouncing his leg so Minho gestured towards his leg to make Han stop even though he was sitting a few seats away. He pats his butt and makes faces in the concerts because he knows it will help calm Jisung down, always makes sure to compliment Han during the fan meetings, even going as far as to ask the fans to tell Han he's handsome. If they are in line formation and Han stays in the corner you can bet Minho will take the spot at his side to never leave Han in the corner unprotected. I know it sounds like I'm reading too much into it but the videos are there for everyone to see, there's no denying that both Minho and Chan are very protective of the others, specially Minho when Jisung is envolved

FYI, actually for EVERYONE'S information, everything about JYP being homophobic is total bs. Being Christian doesn't make you homophobic so let's not be promote prejudice. (I'm black and female, I understand the fear, but I will never condone prejudice in any form.) QED, Felix, Hyunjin and I.N are Confirmed Catholics. Chan and Changbin are also Christian, but we don't know what denomination. Homophobia is sick, but false accusations are almost as bad because they create fear and hatred for no reason. The entire JYP homophobia drama is all from one accusation from a guy who was specifically told (like all JYP Idols) that dating was prohibited and ignored that and got a boyfriend. Nobody's debut is guaranteed, so there's no way to know if he would have made it even without the relationship.(One of Chan's debuts was cancelled because his partner was headhunted by another company during the lead up.) The accuser wasn't allowed to debut because he broken one of only 3 rules he was given. Not because he was dating another man. I know nothing about the veracity of his other accusations about other companies. Also JYP was sat a few feet away, closely watching SKZ when Minsung were holding hands and he saw the message Minho recorded and not only said nothing, he brought Lee Know and Felix back because the love the members have for each other was more important than debuting a "perfect" group and that was a big risk for him to take. 10 mins in and I'm already on a soapbox 😉 Ps. Han didn't take time off from the family, he just couldn't do fan meets. JYP's statement said he was getting treatment and being supported by the other members.

The comments around 13:00 -- how the open encouragement of ships helps mitigate some of the threat of any _actual_ romantic relationship or queer person being outed -- is _exactly_ how I look at it. I've tried to explain what I mean to others, but I usually end up getting bogged down in word soup. So I'm 1) glad you said this and made it apparent that other people feel similarly, and 2) said it more concisely than I ever can. I absolutely believe it's a deliberate move on their part, especially (or at least initially) Chan's, and I respect them so much and am so grateful for it. The things SKZ (and other groups who play with and encourage ships) do create an environment where anyone who might need to can hide in plain sight. We _know_ there are actual queer idols tucked in among these groups, and they _can't_ be out, so I always imagine the relief I would feel as one of them if I knew I could act somewhat true to myself and yet be protected by the widespread assumption that everything is fanservice. On one hand, it would suck to be forced to hide and to know I needed that protection and that what was protecting me was heteronormative assumptions, but on the other, it would help to know that shield was there and I didn't have to be on guard against any little slip-up, because the ready-made "it's just fanservice/shipping" excuse is right there. Shipping and fanservice feel to me a bit like the "ally" part of the multi-meaning A in our initialisms. Maybe someone really is "just an ally"...or maybe that's the safe letter they can use for plausible deniability while connecting with their community or figuring themselves out or finding a tentative foothold. Who knows? Nobody. That's the beauty of that protection. I say this as someone who's experienced parts of that situation and still has to use that protection in certain circumstances, which I'm sure is part of the reason I feel so strongly about the weird safe space that fanservice and shipping culture provides, even though the flipside of it can be ugly.

You are ON POINT with everything you've said, I love it! Also, I really wish these 'analysis' videos wouldn't slow the footage down or point out when they're slowing footage down. It always makes it seem more 'romantic' when it's slowed down and I actually think that does a disservice to videos like this. These two do enough, they don't need their interactions to be enhanced XD

I get you... I like totally get you don't get me wrong I know that slow motions and music adds more tension to their interactions that is without a doubt. All I'm saying is that no matter how much you slow a clip down it doesn't change the facial expressions nor the body language of the individuals in those clips. And most times in normal speed we tend to miss those and thus the analysis video slow them down in order for us to catch that because that is the intention of the video. And I've watched many analysis videos not just about ships and in many cases that's what they do.
