I saw those slides in store the other day and hated them but then I saw someone wearing them and they are so dang cute. I definitely need to go back and grab a pair. Also, don't even sweat about Shay's legs. I've got a giant of an 18-month-old, he's super, super tall but I talked to a CPST and they told me that kids are still safer rear-facing and showed me a bunch of ways he can put his legs so that they're not squished. He's been sitting crisscrossed lately but he also likes to put his legs out to the sides, over the cupholders. He'll even stretch his legs straight out and up lol. Remember kids are hella flexible so what seems uncomfortable for us, isn't for them!

Hello Tara, I was trying to induce labor so one day I ate lots of red and green Chile, went to get a pedicure and walked the mall for a few hours (window shopping). Later that evening started having some mild contractions around 7 pm and by 1:48 am my son was born.

Try eating just the pineapple core itself it has properties that can induce labor if and when you decide 💕

Shay has grown so much I am so behind on vlogs! My 2.5 year old is 40 inches tall but still rear facing just fine! They recommend to leave them til they max out the RF weight limit of their seat which is usually 40-50 lbs! 💗

There is normally a height and weight limit. Which ever one they meet first means they have maxed out their seat. It should say in the seat manual

38 weeks on Sunday! Scheduled c section on the 24th 🙂. Originally due on the 30th but I’m super low and he’s already 7 1/2 lbs. I wish I had the nesting instincts you have but this is our 4th kid all of which are boys. Eviction notice is up and officially closing! Love you

Please don’t flip Shay yet. I promise she isn’t uncomfortable. The AAP now recommends waiting until your child has reached their seat limit to turn them. My 90 percentile son was a little over 3 when he reached his height limit. At almost 4, he climbed into my 11 month olds rear facing seat while I was cleaning the car the other day and just chilled out.

I also agree, she isn’t uncomfortable and is far safer should you have an accident if she’s rear facing. My two year old is still rear facing and she’s super tall too. Often people think she’s at least 3.

@@natalieeubank4533 no we arent her parents. But a lot of parents havent looked into the safety point of rf vs ff. As a person who has learned a lot about car seats and the safely of it i have to make a comment so she understands it. Childrens spines dont fuse to the age of 4. If they are forward facing and get in an accident they have a lot higher chance of getting seriously injured or killed. Sorry for caring for Shay enough to want to make a comment that Tara should research it for herself the difference. Maybe people see the minimum on their seat or cramped legs and flip them without thinking.

Myiesha it’s set for the 19th now because my doctor isn’t working on the 21st. But I’m not going to go through with it. We’re going to schedule another one for the following Monday if he hasn’t come yet on his own but I don’t want to induce until after my due date.

My grandson is the same age and height as Shay and he is already facing forward because his feet were to long facing the other way.

Although it may look uncomfortable to us, children are a lot more flexible than adults and can quite happily rear face for longer - It is recommended to rear face for as long as your carseat limits will allow as it is much safer if you were ever to be in a car accident.
