Lonsge Portable Drill Winch pulling a big stump. First attempy failed and broke the cable. The company YooKoo replaced it with a new winch. I got it overnight! I highly recommend this winch!

A hazard is that you are necessarily standing in the line of whiplash should that steel cable part under tension. Use a blanket over the cable as well as hard hat with face shield . Also use a snatch block to double the power. I have the Warn version of that winch, very useful for unique tasks such as loading a heavy mower up ramps into a pickup.

I'm glad I happened upon this video. What great PR they did by sending you a new on over night. I am very impressed with the power of that lil guy. Thanks for sharing.

Pulling stumps it's easy if you use an aframe 2x4's or 4x4 or steel a frame to make the pull up as close to straight up as possible.... comes out way way easier
@hillbilly4christ638
You should use the tire trick. It involves more vertical force than lateral force and works far better.

Thats powerful for a little winch . impressive 👍

I was expecting a larger stump. Next time cut the tree higher....like 2 to 5 feet up for more leverage. I have a stump pulling project of a tree that was close to 60 feet tall. I cut down to where the trunk merged to two smaller trunks about 10 ft high. So far some of the roots are partially crumbly. I am using a come-a-long. I have dug down about a foot to expose some roots that are 8 to 12 inches diameter. I also have soaked the root trench to soften the soil. Patience and persistence. I will plant a new sapling in the remaining hole. GOD JOB.

It looks exactly like the Berger & Schröter or Berger-Schroeter winch product number: 31717. I thought they designed it, but apparently it is a Chinese winch sold under various brands.

Put a tire under the cable near the stump so it pulls the stump upward
@seth364
Next time, if you keep the stump taller you’ll have a far easier time pulling it out. Mechanical advantage.
@surfguy4u
good way to loose an eye. cable inline view and light weight cable.
@AwosAtis
Wow! That's a powerful little winch. I've pulled stumps like that with a come-a-long, a shovel, a steel bar and a battery operated reciprocating saw. I needed all four tools.

First issue is you need to pull out as much cable as you can. You need to be using the first layer of cable on the drum. That gives you the highest rating. Each wrap over that the winch looses power. You can also use a single pulley and double the power. And for that price of what you got you could have got a 12v one with a 3500lb pulling power.
