When I was pregnant with my first I freaked out at the idea of breastfeeding. I thought "no no, not for me. I'll do it in hospital but when I'm home I'll stop" but I the let down of hormones was unexpected! It was like someone injecting me with love and happiness. I was giddy with it. I'm 7 months with my 2nd baby now and I'm actually really looking forward to experiencing that again :)

Nit as easy as it looks but with tenacity.. its a beautiful thing. By now you've had your baby. How'd it go? My Grandson is due anyday now. Brushing up on my info so I can help my daughter this time. When I delivered my first baby, i was unable to breastfeed, my gynae said my nipple shape is nt good enough and thats why baby wasnt latching. It was so disheartning, I realized later that it was lack of knowledge of my doc herself. They kept baby away from me and dint help me at all to start breastfeed. I later got to know that lactation specialist could have helped, gynea was only responsible for delivering the baby. Did anyone else face the same issue. Does nipple size matter. It was my first baby then and I guess I had normal breast.

Doesn't using ice on your breast during breastfeeding doesn't it dry out your milk completely..that's what happened to my sister when she was breastfeeding her breasts were so soar and she didn't want to put ice patches she was scared she could breast feed her baby anymore if her milk dried up
