Based on what Sam says it’s when Jake’s and Lorena got together. But even the dialogue doesn’t match. It’s funny I always blamed the Australian channel that aired for the continuity problem..but it seems the show didn’t care either

It's weird how some episodes, they play down Tony and Sam's relationship although they have been together since season S3 E4 (Blind Dates). I saw the one when Sam's father visited and he did NOT have a problem with her dating Tony because he is black. He said he didn't want her in the back seat of Tony's car, which is understandable since they are still i high school.

Yes this episode should have aired before S3 "Budget Cuts" its production code is 60254, "Budget Cuts" is 60255. Realise that airing episodes out of production order is common though ideally you'd air episodes that don't ruin the continuity

That wasn't Sam, that was another girl. When Tony didn't accept the new amp that the father bought to bribe Tony, he bribed the daughter instead by sending her to Paris to study.
