I would assume it takes longer to charge because the battery lasts 2 hours straight and the motor won’t stop pushing 100% power until completely dead

The quieter machine is the fx870. They they perfected the flaws of the 880 in the 870. My favorite fader right now.

Thanks for the extensive review, Al. I'm good with my cordless Seniors and 1919's for now, but might have to consider those FX if Babyliss releases them in black. The gold and rose are too flashy for me, but I understand why some might like the look.

I dont use speed o gurads, I use wahl premium gurads. I suggest you subscribe and check out my tutorials they will help you get faster.

With the lever closed it's a zero With lever open it's a .5. If you put 1 clip lever closed it's a #1 If you put 1 clip lever open its #1.5 Etc. Etc. Hope this helps

Another thing that sucks is that you can’t zero gap them and the charging prawns in the cord break off after using it for so long happened to 3 other barbers at my shop

ive tried both and it depends on your cutting style, there is something nostalgic about the 1919s brings me back to that feeling of my first crispy bald fade, learned on wahls, but graduated they are both in my collection,. i just bought a second pair of the gold fx special edition cause my cheap sterling 4s just died, love having multiple to choose from.

It's TRUE I have both and sometimes the 1919 dont feel good I'll switch to the Babyliss. I have 2 if the Gold FX it really is a great machine . Sarah is right it's nice having a variety of machines for different types of hair.

I have 2 of them , one was way louder than other so I bought new blade s graphite blade and it seems to have worked. But older they get the louder they get.

The reason it gets louder it's because the piece that moves the cutter blade gets eroded get you a Drexel wit a cutting disk and sand the inner wall of the cutter blade piece then take a heat gun put some heat on it and squeeze it in a little
