I have watched this at least 5 times. Every time I use my new (Dec 2023) Accolade and do a cover stitch. It is such a great reminder on how to do the Chain Looper - at some point I will remember but it is so helpful as one learns. Thank you Pam and @NashuaSewandVac!

Thank you so clear, I’m going to save this for easy retrieval. Best explanation I’ve found!

I definitely had my chain needle threading done incorrectly. Baby Lock does need to put more close up photos of each step of the threading process in their manual for the Evolution. Thank you so much for this video! It explains everything very well!

So helpful, thanks! Would love to see a video for the Accolade serger-to-coverstitch conversion!

Thank you Pam, I just purchased my Accolade and am having a horrible time finding any helpful videos. Yours is the best/most clear video I have found (Babylock videos are not at all helpful - most just refer you to a dealer). Thanks for your help - I will be hoping for more videos from you as I learn about my new serger. Happy Holidays

Thank you! I've had my Evolve for a week and could not figure this out!!! Now I need a video on what to do if it does not travel all the way through the tube of the chain looper. (yes it does on the upper and lower) Then how do i fix that. Lots of good info out there but this video is the first time I could see where it should end up and puddle. Invaluable! This is my 5th serger, but first Babylock. Thank you!

Thanks for your kind comments. If you don't see your chain looper thread in the bucket, just pull more thread from above the threading port and push the button again. A good rule of thumb to use with air threader is to pull the thread end down to your lap before threading. This gives you enough thread to blow all the way through.

Super, thank you for covering that end of the machine for the cover stitch, now I agree with the other comment about demonstrating how to thread the needles for the cover stitch. Specifically how they should come through the metal clips on the rear side of the machine exactly. Thanks for what you did so far.

Very helpful, Pam! Can you demonstrate how to thread for the chain/cover stitch? Behind the machine is rather confusing.

THANK YOU! How on Earth was I supposed to figure that out from the manual. I had no idea the thread fell back behind the tree and the book said to check if I had thread in the bucket but it told me to let it dangle so I kept pulling it out of the bucket and letting it dangle in various locations.

Hi Pam, could you tell me how making thé little gabarit I have seen on your Coverstitch in your video? Thanks in advance to pay attention. Jacinthe from Quebec

The cover thread isn’t in the bucket after I make a stitch. Is that normal?
@pamtepolt25712 жыл бұрын
Yes. Once you start stitching you will no longer see the thread in the bucket

Thanks, Pam, that was really helpful! For everybody asking about how to thread the C1 and C2 needles, this video on the Babylock channel helped me: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6myfqKJqthqesU (The needle threading starts at 5:25, but the rest has some good tips too.) That video uses an Ovation, but the threading is exactly the same, except that there are two bars to hook into before you thread the eyes of the needles.

I don't want to bust your bubble, but coming from the garment industry, you don't have time to actually thread a serger. You clip the thread, tie on another cone and pull through and that is the method for all machines.
@pamtepolt257111 ай бұрын
You are correct about the industry practice. However, this home machine does a variety of stitches and requires rethreading. Tying off and pulling through is not always an option.
