A lot of the other reaction channels have taken to slapping a big watermark over the B5 images, seems to have worked even if it doesn't look pretty.

The original plan was for Delenn in season 1 to be male and appear roughly as they did in the pilot. They would then have their voice altered in post production to sound deeper and less 'female', making Delenn's transition an even bigger surprise in this episode. Unfortunately they couldn't get the voice modulation to work, so had to abandon that part of the plan.

"Delenn is indisposed" - "She's in a cocoon!" - "Yes." So, you got to see Delenn after the chrysalis, unspoiled. Well done, Excellent to see that unspoiled! G'Kar ... Yes, he knows, but he cannot convince the others. But I think his words at the last meeting did get to Londo. Yes, Morden works in the shadows, not just with the Shadows ;) "I'm not sure how much has changed" (with Delenn). That is good. You will find out. Human Minbari hybrid? What does that mean? Some answers, more new questions. Andreas Katsulas as G'Kar, and also Peter Jurasik as Londo, are the best main characters - and actors - in B5, maybe an all the fiction I have seen.

Agreed, Andreas Katsulas (G'kar) does a great job of performing.

Keep 'em coming dude! Good see others enjoy B5 too. 🖖😎 16:48 Her change, and the real reasons for it, will become clear as you watch the show. But you'll have to wait a little over midway into season 3 for that.

He's clearly unsettled by "one thing at a time, ambassador." Not unsettled enough to stop, but he's becoming aware of just how in over his head he is. I think fear is overriding his guilt here. If Morden's associates can destroy Narn on a whim, what are they going to do to him if he doesn't give them their "favours"?
@artmartial350 Жыл бұрын
Another way of looking at Londo is that in "Midnight on the Firing Line" his nephew/cousin or Ragesh 3 was apparently forced to make a statement that his colony needed the Narn's help. Also G'Kar humiliated Londo when he asked why are you asking the council to take action when your own Centauri government refuses to take action.

It is so nice to follow your reactions to this fantastic sci-fi series. Keep them coming! :)

Londo DID look a bit torn still. His face dropped from a smile to concerned when he jokes about eliminating the Nard homeworld. When Mordan said "... one thing at a time" and took him seriously, Londo's look changed (might have missed it). :)

Yeah, Londo was using a rhetorical hyperbolic question and Mr. Morden acted like that was a company milestone a few years down the pipeline and not an unthinkable act on both morality and strategic viability.

I think of Morden as a monkeys paw. The monkeys paw is able to grant wishes, but at great cost.

During the first run of B5, a curious fan-club arose - the Cult of Lou, who basically followed Officer Lou Welch. B5 fandom. They flirt weird.

You missed that londo's question was sarcastic. It was his way of expressing his discomfort. Watch his face when he is taken seriously.

Lando didn't necessarily want the outpost dealt with in such a manner. He may have believed money or politicing could remove it. Perhaps some blackmail or returning a Narn artefact? What he did not expect was for the outpost and all associated forces to be annihilated without a trace or struggle. He underestimated what he was dabbling in. Lando was asking a rhetorical question about why this kind of firepower isn't thrown around with a hyperbolic example of a target. He still underestimates what is possible. Notice how he delated at the response of "One thing at a time." Lando wasn't being serious. Mr. Morden is. When G'kar is not only serious, but afraid? That is when one should check their provision stockpiles. But now, he believes that knows the new player. They are an old player long thought gone. 4:21 Well this isn't the lower part of the station. This is a med bay suite with a high profile patient who stayed here for days. So this would get very messy while he escapes. And there is a VERY high chance someone guns him down on his way off station. We have a name now, Za'Ha'Dum. Why would they name it the Icarus? Everyone* knows that story, and how it ended. At least name it Prometheus to carry home forbidden knowledge. They're lying about the wings, but you've got to admit, it's a good lie to get his attention. A Minbarri with butterfly wings? Now that's something weird enough to warrant leaving quarters for a quick peek. I think it's a max of two minutes if you take the steps to prolong your life, but they WILL be hell. Spacing someone is not humane. It's easy and efficient, but not humane. It is agony. She's the first Minbari with human like hair on her head. She had a course epidermal shell that needed breaking after exiting a cocoon zapped around her by a weird crystal shape 3d puzzle kit. To not be extra at THIS stage? Perish the thought.

yeah, Londo, yeah. I can't say anything without spoilers
@donshane70912 жыл бұрын
Depending how you feel about getting information (spoilers) fed to you outside of the program, you could consider avoiding the intro credits for the first 3-4 episodes of each new season. Some people do that.
@oenrn2 жыл бұрын
The only spoiler was Delenn's transformation which was shown in this season's first two episodes, and that only in the US DVD release because they messed up the broadcast to DVD conversion. Other versions, as well as other season openings, contain no significant spoilers. After all, the openings are broadcast from episode 1, so the producers meant for the audience to see it like it is.
@BlackDouglas1000 Жыл бұрын
Going forward...maybe we should not discuss all the reasons a character left the story or what was allegedly supposed to happen, it seems to cheapen the impact and can be, it self, a spoiler. Let's let the story unfold for our friend in the same way we experienced it.

Hi James, I'm not that active on KZbin at the moment. I honestly got too frustrated with editing due to constant copyright issues :( I'm still reacting but only at patreon at the moment. I'm watching season 4 of Babylon 5 right now. Hopefully I can continue editing at some point.
