Trouble is if everything worked as the tech would suggest, every sci fi space battle scene would just be over in seconds with a big flash bang, very likely from BVR so we' wouldn't even need to render the attacking ship. All heroes dead, first scene. No need for a story or anything. It's called drama.

One of my favorite B5 ship classes. Of the younger races excluding the Minbari & later EA Warlocks...the Omegas are probably one of the biggest bruisers. There is no real safe arc to attack one from with the pulse//beam turrets spread about...the bow is deadly & especially even the stern armaments are bad news. One of the sturdier ships though the rotation section does form a weak point.

You'd think that weak point would be meaningless after the inclusion of artificial gravity tech, though. Why would they keep the rotating sections around? An Omega-class, free of that one flaw, would be an absolute death machine!

@@SpacialKatana Oh, Thanks! I love the BB5 universe designs far more myself, and as much as I love Star Trek designs too, more the contemporary over the classics. I was partially right in my thought then, though I wanted to ask you about the Omega Destroyers vs SW ships. I figured the Omegas were deadlier, and probably more dense in their armor too. An entire fleet of Star Destroyers would have problems against just even a single Galaxy Class Starship in my opinion with the Galaxy's more precise fire and distance they can fire from.

Man Meurigs Omega has been beaten to within an inch of its life so many times lol that really is one of the best Omega models I've ever seen. You've got the B5 pacing down cold man this feels like it could have been pulled straight from the show.

I always think about Sheridan saying, "Get to the life pods" as the EA ships are about to blow up. Nice action. But the Commander of the Churchill should have launched starfuries to attack and cover. He must have been a junior officer or he knew how hard it would be to render more stuff in that awesome shot!

No one in the comments remembers that Tech superiority is why Earth lost all battles against the Mimbari and that's most likely why this EA ship couldn't hit the Buxom Brigade's ship. They have better tech.

This is very good on the speed and drama when younger races uses their non-organic ship to attack one another. At least it was not a Shadow or Vorlon ship against the other races, which would have no surprises.

If Earth had access to the newest technology already before the Minbari war started and had a pre-Omega variant destroyers that was called Nova-X Class Destroyer as it's main ship in the fleet together with a upgraded Hyperion cruisers and additional 50 prototype Warlock Destroyers without Minbari and Shadow tech yet, could the war have been less one sided?

I'm starting to get the impression that these new guys are playing their game. Although they can also be a substitute for Drakhs, as servants of Shadows. I also understood why they were not immediately attacked by ISA: they did not immediately imagine aggression, and then struck when they collected all the information about the enemy. Just like in "The Legend of the Rangers".

So many texture layers on this model, I've never had enough time to go through them replacing with Shadow skin. Adding tentacles is the easy bit. Maybe one day.
