I really took stock that literally most music that I’ve listen to growing up has been about fighting for freedom, whether it be from a reggae artist, hip hop, hymn or whatever. It’s always been songs of freedom. Our history is haunting, not to discredit anyone else’s... needless to say I know more about my own more than anyone else’s.
