As a native of Jamaica, and someone who gives Bob Marley the most supreme respect of all times.I would like to commemorate his life time work and achievements. He has sung songs for the people who can't sing for themselves. He has given voices to the people at the bottom of the food chain. He is an icon, a Jamaican hero, and an introspection to all mankind to give ourselves a moral and ethical thinking about life and humanity..One Love RIP BOB

The best artists are never mainstream, they are, underground, spirited, selfless, and speak truth that no one wants to hear. like all great speakers, they are momemntarily silenced, but their words live on in our hearts and their songs are remembered as they have deep meaning and truths. Bob has a sone for every situation to help us through the struggle to enrich our lives.

I love this song. I have huge respect for bob Marley. it was never about making money. it was about spreading the message love not war. and he was not afraid of those who plotted against him. I wanted to cry at the end of the Marley movie. Amazing the amount he achieved in such a short life. fair play to him.

I really took stock that literally most music that I’ve listen to growing up has been about fighting for freedom, whether it be from a reggae artist, hip hop, hymn or whatever. It’s always been songs of freedom. Our history is haunting, not to discredit anyone else’s... needless to say I know more about my own more than anyone else’s. We’ve come a very long way as a community but there’s still a ways to go. RIP Robert Nesta Marley and happy birthday to you as well!! Also Happy Black History month to all who celebrate it. ❤️💛💚

This song makes me shed a tear or anger and frustration at all of our lost opportunity. The opportunity to create a beautiful world to bestow upon the lives of children to come, a world that would make them proud to be part of such a noble and bold race. Instead we leave them with a wasteland to salvage if that will even be possible. How can we be so deaf to the cries of the humanity's future because I can barely sleep hearing their moans of disparity, anguish, hurt and shame. DOWN WITH BABYLON.

mah best song ever... yO african flags even my little island Mauritius in there. Feeling so proud being African. Some made it hard for us to be black, hard for us to be different from what is socially acceptable for them. "We are what we are and that's the way its going to be!!!"

His message was to acctually see what is going on around us, to face reality and to live our ives in the way we wanted, to educate our children that we ALL can make a change..I put him right up there with Ghandi and MLK, and too few others..we need to stand up for true beliefs, not what the system is designed to promote. Bob madea ot of money, but he put it right back into the bellies of his people, 'cause that's theright thing to do, as a HUMAN being. That's it.

In March 1980, Jacob Miller went with Bob Marley and Chris Blackwell to Brazil, to celebrate Island opening new offices in South America. On Sunday, 23 March 1980, Miller was killed in a car accident on Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica, along with one of his sons. Miller and Inner Circle had been preparing for an American tour with Bob Marley and the Wailers, and the next album, Mixed Up Moods, had been recorded before his death.[4]

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.-REV 17:5-7

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.-REV 18:2-3

Well, you have to find your own path of enlightenment, you know. It has to be consensual on your half because, you can't follow someone into the path of enlightenment, you have to just realise it, and walk your own path. Maybe help others to understand. But yeah. That's why mainstream is unreliable.
