interesting world view with Earth at the center (?) and everything comes down to one. One god, one guiding principle-goodness (?) though nature is imbued with spirit and i imagine some weather events were possessed with a spiritual deity acting out- fascinating. And this is 2500 years before Jesus, and about 2000 years before books of Bible? precursor to Chritianity? Excellent video! Paints a nicely choreographed story of the beginnings of western thought about existence. Seem to recall scholars noting that within a short span of time, roughly around this time, monotheism was being born in a variety of places, not only Mesopotamia but in and around /Central Asia/India/China as well. Was there something about lifestyle changes that led peoples, thinkers to whittle it down to "one"? How much of a role did agriculture play in formulating these theistic societies? Then the the graphic carvings, hippocentaurs, fish gods and Tiamat- whoa! Amazing detail. They had to have discovered psilocybins...just say'n

I believe that the ability to write things down had a lot to do with the development of monotheism. It's a consolidation of the best ideas passed down the ages. Like a refinement process. As cultures and people's ideas mix, people learn more and more and begin to unify. Ideas work the same way, they begin to tend toward a unity.

Self worship is narcissistic. Apart from self awareness, everything else self orientated is plain selfish.
