Syncopation and FDTD are related, both from BM 2nd album but Syncopation was released only for Japan and FDTD was included on the international version only, both awesome and kickass song but FDTD become one of my BM favorite song, and many fans were waiting for this 2021 proshot live version for years, it is something special for sure and one of the few songs entirely with english lyrics, fortunately this version got more vocal clean, so lyrics are more accurated now since we don't have official lyrics from this one till this day, love the lights and stage production too, the color is like the aurora borealis or northern lights effects. FDTD is an interesting one; it only appears on the international version of Metal Resistance in place of Syncopation because Koba thought that Syncopation was 'too Japanese' for international audiences. It's only been performed live a handful of times, most recently this performance at 10 Babymetal Budokan in 2021. It's also one of the only Babymetal songs that are all in English (the others being The One and Elevator Girl). Despite being exclusive to the Japanese release of Metal Resistance, Syncopation is a very popular song among Babymetal fans worldwide. Syncopation is a quintessential Babymetal song; its metal as hell while still being catchy and poppy with a big sing along chorus. Its only ever been performed once outside Japan, at London Brixton Academy in 2019.

Their 10 Babymetal Years Budokan shows were pretty amazing in every aspect. The stage design, lightning, sound, the Kami band, the girls, everything was just perfect (except for the fact, that the crowd wasn't allowed to shout and sing along, due to covid restrictions). FDTD is still one of my Top 3 Babymetal songs, because it is so unique and Su's voice can pierce you right in the heart =) Nice double reaction mate! 🦊🤘

Great double reaction, whoever suggested them did a great job too. Both songs are from the Metal resistance album - but 'Syncopation' is on the Japanese edition, 'From Dusk Till Dawn' is on the international edition. FDTD had been played live only once, at the Hollywood Palladium in 2017. Unfortunately the official pro-shot video was never released so we only had fancam videos of that performance ... until a fan campaign got it voted into the 10 favourite songs, so here they were finally playing it live again at two of the 10 Budokan shows in 2021 - and we finally got the DVD version we had been wanting to see for so long. 'Syncopation' has only ever been performed once outside Japan, at London Brixton Academy in 2019. We could not believe our ears when the heartbeat started sounding, the crowd went wild. Su-metal has said she was so surprised that everybody there knew the song since it was never released outside of Japan. The song that started playing was 'Oh! Majinai' - a collaboration with Joakim Broden from Sabaton as guest vocalist ... that will make for a fun reaction.

Great reaction, thanks! "FDTD" is a really interesting combination of dream trance (a subgenre of house music) with metal. It has a really weird history of live performances and there was no a proper pro-shot until these performances at the 10 BABYMETAL Budokan in 2021. But, as you can see, it was spectacular. And "Syncopation" is just a perfect song. In my opinion, this is objectively one of their best songs. Easily among my top favorites. Very elegant, including some "subtle" blastbeats without being over the top, that's class. And that ending with the tasty guitar solo and the drums is everything. Until next time! 🤘🦊

About From Dusk till Dawn: Yeah Babymetal has been electronic here and there since the beginning! Just take a look at their official MV for "Iine", the second MV they ever released :) Or "Uki Uki Midnight" live at Budokan 2014, that was also a song from the first album :D Did you notice the lightning of the show started with a yellow fading into the blue to change again into yellow towards the end, to symbolize Dusk and Dawn!

Syncopation is my second favourite BM song, just slightly below Shine. Perfect songwriting and immersive performance, from start to finish. FDTL is also quite high on my list, to me it's the most Linkin-Parky song in their lineup.

Random reply here .. what's interesting is I listened gimme chocolate when it came out .. I was confused and fascinated and ended up loving it, but I wrote it off as a gimmick and didn't do a deep dive. OOOOPS! I don‘t know whether you are aware of this, but these two songs take up the same spot on the Metal Resistance album - FDTD is only found on the international version of the album, Syncopation on the Japanese version. So you are missing out if you are only buying one of them. :-) Syncopation is a very perfect song, at least top three in my personal ranking. The chorus is perfect, the tempo pulls you along, the breakdown is nuts, the solos are all sorts of guitar insanity packed into a few seconds... I love this song.

My 'favourite' Babymetal varies wildly, depending on mood, time of day, how much I've listened to a particular song recently etc. But 'From Dusk Till Dawn' is always, always in the top 3. _This_ is the song I'll blast out in my car; not any of the other louder, thumpier choices which seem more obvious. No; FDTD at significant volume is where it's at. It's cautious, triumphant, airy, dark, mysterious, revealing all in one. Su's voice pierces through the clouds we are all floating on like a knife. I don't commute to work too much these days, mostly WFH. But I miss the moments when driving over the hills of Dorset into the rising sun, or driving home towards the setting sun when this song comes on. And gets turned up a few notches. Am I running towards something, maybe? Or escaping from something behind? Or simply floating above the people in the villages below, knowing that I'll soon be returning to do the same again. I don't know what the song is actually about, and it's one of the few where I really don't intend to find out. For me this is a slice of Babymetal peace, movement and quiet purpose. And those breaks. Damn.

Su-'s vocal range is pretty much the definition of soprano. While her range is only good for a professional, the evenness and clarity across is exceptional, IMO. I could fan-boy all day at the smoothness of her transitions between registers and how well her lower register has filled out tonally. And these two songs demonstrate that and we don't even notice because of how smooth it all is. Another great reaction. BTW, I think your like (👍) percentage is probably double from that of the other channels I watch regularly. Definitely stay Cheezy!

Nice reaction. These two songs are prime examples of why it is said Babymetal everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed. Amazingly diverse. As much as I love these songs. After watching them do Monochrome on First Take. I really would love to see them do an unplugged show. Not a whole tour. I'll take a TV special. But it would be an epic performance. Su and Moa have such a positive attitude I'm sure if they put their minds to it. They could get it done for sure. As much as Babymetal likes to see the sea of people from their festival appearances and the big shows they've done. One of the things that comes up a lot with them is they like to be close to the audience. This is why their stage moves out to the middle of the crowd. Custom job too. During their last show they had two that went back and forth across the crowd. You're in the back don't worry. We're coming to see you too. You're up high. Don't worry will make this moving stage rise up so you can see us better. But I think it's just so they can see the audience better. Moa loves to pose for the camera. There are some great pics of her dimples out there. And as always Su is simply stunning to behold. Their incredible stage presence is only more amazing when you find out Su is 5'2" and Moa is only about 5' at best. And both of them are a bit goofy off stage. And we love them for all they do. The big takeaway for FDTD is that Su-metal showcases her highest known head voice note, a G#5 swelling to an A5 (at the 2:30 mark of your video here). That is actually her, and its one of the very few times she really shows how high she can actually go. She has recently started exploring falsetto in her live bootleg performances back in January, teasing into the 6th octave. I cannot stress enough how dynamic of a vocalist she really is, a nearly 3 octave range, she routinely goes down to E3 and slightly lower in some songs, and absolutely clear the whole way. A virtuoso and only getting better as she gets older. Syncopation is just straight badass.
