Great reaction. This video is from 2012 - Su was 14, Yui and Moa were both 12, nearly 13. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but it is also a coming of age thing (compulsory education ends at 15 in Japan), so the girl is realising life will never be the same, her first 15 years passed by so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. For a great live performance check the Legend 1997 version (Legend 1997 was the concert title in December 2013 celebrating Su-metal's 16th birthday). You can find good quality videos for that, safe to use, posted by Gans Tomas or abr metal. Talking of Legend 1997 - you said you liked their intro song 'BABYMETAL Death'. Usually it is the intro of course (the few lyrics are them introducing themselves one by one), but occasionally on special occasions it is used later in the show. At the Legend 1997 concert they used it as the finale and the performance was special ... I think you may be surprised at how they celebrated Su-metal turning 16. Just find 'BABYMETAL Death' live at Legend 1997 (complete) - and read the description before you watch it, there is an English translation in there for the intro they played at the start.

Great reaction, thanks! Although the general consensus is that they kill it live, this early music video is also really good. So, here are some interesting things about it: the neckbrace is a tribute to X-Japan's drummer (founder, songwriter and soul) Yoshiki Hayashi, who got injured from headbanging violently during concerts and had to wear a neckbrace by medical prescription even while performing. The red moon thing in the end is another tribute to X-Japan for the song "Kurenai" (meaning "red") and so is another of their songs "Akatsuki" (crimson moon). Check out Bathory: Twilight of the Gods. 1st song on the album, also the name of the album. Warning…. the first part is an acoustic guitar which is really low, turn the volume down a little when it ends or your ears and speakers might be damaged by the incredible bass!
