I was really interested in your perspective on Brand New Day. I had a very similar reaction to this song - hard to describe why it had such a positive impact on me, but for several months I listened to it daily as a bit of a therapy, and particularly resonated with Su singing “it’s going to be okay, alright”… something in her tone and approach makes it seem so reassuring and genuine… it’s very cool to know they are performing this live on occasion.

Glad you had a good time! You've made me realize i really need to go back and learn more about Yui. I've been embracing the new form because i don't like getting attached to something that doesn't exist anymore, but you've got me curious. Thanks for coming on GG!

@@laborpnI feel you! There are many reasons why I think Brand New Day is such a gem. However, I'm not the best with spoken words and couldn't bring myself to explain it properly. I'm thinking of maybe making a video about it someday :) And yeah! I know they've been switching between BND and Syncopation on this tour... I hope I get to catch BND at least once 🙏🏼

One of my favorite Babymetal reactors interviewing one of my favorite Babymetal content creators? So cool, great interview. I've been a Babymetal fan since Gimme Chocolate! was released, and I actually DID stop following the band after Yui left for a few years. Then I randomly saw an announcement on FB from the band that they had a new official member. And I was curious, so I went to KZbin. I've become hooked on Babymetal even worse than I was before. I love Momo, actually, and Omajination was one of the channels that introduced me to her. Please don't stop (unless you really want to), and don't listen to any hate. You rock! ❤🖤🦊

I love the Babymetal fandom, for most of us, as long as you love Babymetal you are one of us and everyone can have their opinions and openly discuss them without being judged. Certainly there are some on the fringes that go too far and are hostile towards people who have differing opinions and that is not acceptable and to those people I would say, imagine if one day you got to meet them and they asked how come you said that nasty thing to that other person, how would that make you feel. I feel the girls have been pretty clear on what they want their fandom to be, fun inclusive and no bullying. But most importantly we should support each other as we walk our own paths.

Love Omagination's works... brings me so much joy (I've been rewatching the Security guards reactions video for the past couple of weeks now😊😊).... Her, Buttons Metal and 44Works, have created some of the funnest and funniest Babymetal fan content.... The misheard Babymetal lyrics is still what I hear now instead of the og lyrics. Brand New Day is also my inspiration song... the lyrics helped me in a slightly dark time in my life....😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘

Great to see you both together in an interview! Thanks to both of you! @omajination: Your knowledge about BABYMETAL is impressive and it is a joy to listen to you talking about them. Also: I admire how you find ways to put your thoughts and feelings about BABYMETAL into words, here and, in particlar, in your videos from earlier this year when "seasons changed". Sometimes I feel like: That's how I feel, too! But I didn't have the words. Anyway, your spreading the message: Joy! Thanks a lot!

Interesting commentary on the song Legend from TOO album. Agree that it is not the fast and heavy with which we expect from our girls. However, now seeing the PIA live show the song was my favorite part. A proper concert cannot be the same tempo the whole time. You must have slow songs and changes in tempo to properly control the flow and keep the audience attention. They are professionals. Know their craft. Knew they needed a down tempo song. Legend was perfect. Plus the jazz saxophone was epic and totally unexpected. I bet there were few without tears from the emotion in Legend.

To me, I don't like "Light and Darkness" when I heard the album version. I felt it's too light for my listening, and I think it's incompleted. Until I heard the live version with string and piano intro, I felt it's complete and beautiful. However, I still don't listen to that often because it's so f dark and emotionally heavy. It's even darker than Rondo of Nightmares. Then I think they just trying to lighten up the album version for easy listening, and balancing the whole vibe of the album.

Give me chocolate with dragon force in 2015. Download sneaky apperence . and only performed ROR and Gimme Chocolate at Golden Gods Awards. There was no tour with Dragon Force, although 2015 did piss off the Organiser of Download as everyone was talking about BabyMetal, not Dragon Force, who he thought deserved more attention . 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

What a nice podcast! For me, I have to be honest, I hated Brand New Day. It was my least favorite song from Metal Galaxy. But then I watched the Budokan 2021 shows and that's when I fell in love with it. And now it's one of my favorite songs. Also, BABYMETAL helped me getting into heavy metal. I was more a rock/pop fan who also liked Japanese music, but thanks to BABYMETAL I now can appreciate some groups that I would never think I'd love, like BMTH, Slipknot, etc.

Nice interview. In many ways Babymetal reminds me of VanHalen. Especially in their 2017 to 2018 time period. Was very similar to what VanHalen went through back in 1984 to 1986. VanHalen's album 1984 was their best album to date at the time. Out selling everything they had done previously. And then David Lee Roth (The Lead singer for those who don't know) leaves. And it felt like that was going to be the end of the band. Then suddenly in 1986 they release a new album with a new singer. And it split the fans in half. New fans liked what they heard and old fans just couldn't get used to it. I personally was in the minority by liking both versions of VanHalen. Also, musically Eddie was so experimental musically that part reminds me of Babymetal as well. VanHalen's first album was a shock to the system of rock. and Babymetal was a shock to the system in 2014. To this day still big fan of both bands. Rest in Peace Eddie. And this has become a thing that sadly, Babymetal now shares with other legendary bands. Death of a member and a member leaving the group. While Mikkio wasn't officially a member of Babymetal. He did enough performances with them and enjoyed it. Kami band members in IMO should have become members of the band. And then the ladies could do more interaction with them on stage. I would love to see the return of Catch Me if You Can. This time with them hiding around the Kamiband members. Would be a surprise to the fans. David Lee Roth did his own albums. Now Yui could do her own album and they go on tour together. Shocker. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

It shows Su and Moa sitting on some steps (in early BM outfits) and you can see Yui in the back walking/running to them, then in Yui-fashion falls flat just before reaching them. All Moa and Su can do was laugh. It was such cute and classic BM moment BTS.
